"Love is just a waste of time, and time is money. And I love money. I can't spend my money on something useless."

As he stepped out of Gate 17 at the airport, the man tossed aside a card he was holding and muttered these words to himself. The card might have been someone's visiting card, which he discarded into the trash without a second thought. The moment people at the airport saw him, a buzz filled the air. Whispers began spreading among the crowd.

"Isn't that... isn't that Raj Sehgal's son?"

"Hey, show some respect. You're talking as if he's your uncle. Mr. Sehgal could buy you in a blink."

"Take a closer look; isn't that Vedang Sehgal? After so many years? Wasn't he living in the USA?"

"Yeah, man! And in the headlines of Indian newspapers too. The man who graced the front pages is now standing right in front of our eyes."

"Look at him, so handsome and charming. Wow!"

"Oh, if only I could marry him... my little dreams."

The airport echoed with such conversations. Vedang Sehgal, the soon-to-be owner of Sehgal Group of Companies and the elder son of Mr. Raj Sehgal, had just returned to India from the United States after seven years. He had just set foot on Mumbai Airport. His complexion wasn't extremely fair, but his sharp features, tall stature, and eagle-like piercing eyes exuded confidence and ambition. However, there was not a single expression on his face. He was wearing a custom-made wine-colored suit, his hair was neatly styled, and a Rolex watch gleamed on his wrist. On the other hand, he wore a Rudraksha bracelet, adding to his look. He was accompanied by a few bodyguards who were ensuring his safety while escorting him out of the airport. Near the car, his mom and dad eagerly awaited their son's return. As Vedang caught sight of his mother, a soft smile immediately appeared on his otherwise expressionless face. Before he could reach his parents, Nisha Sehgal, Vedang's mother, rushed to hug him. Vedang also felt a sense of peace as he embraced his mother. After years, he felt the warmth of his mother's touch and closed his eyes. Nisha ji held him so tightly, as if afraid he might disappear. And why wouldn't she be afraid? For seven years, this mother had longed for even a glimpse of her child. The depth of her fear is beyond what anyone can comprehend. Yes, there was silence between the mother and son, but even silence can convey a thousand emotions.

After about five minutes, Raj Ji said, "What are you doing, Nisha? Let me meet my son too. After all, I've waited just as long."

Nisha Ji didn't let go of Vedang and, with a choked voice, replied, "No. You wait. Because of you, I've waited so long. After all, it was you who sent him to the USA, right? You fulfill all of his demands, so fulfill one of mine now. I won't let him go anywhere now. And if you try to send him away from me again, I'll send you divorce papers. Got it?"

Raj Ji looked at Vedang, who was looking right back at him, and Vedang said, "Did you hear that, Dad? Don't even think about separating me from Mom now."

Raj Ji looked at Vedang in surprise. It was Vedang who had insisted on going to the USA, and because of his insistence, Raj Ji and Nisha Ji had countless arguments. And today, look at this guy, how easily he's putting all the blame on his Dad. What could Raj Ji do? He was helpless between his wife and son. With a smile, he said, "After such a big threat from Her Honor, do you think I'd dare even think about separating this mother-son duo? No way."
