When Raumik admitted that he had cheated on Maya, Akshvi felt a jolt. In shock, she could only manage to say, "What?"

Seeing her react like that, Raumik quickly continued, "Hey, you're misunderstanding me. I didn't do anything like that."

"But... just now you said you cheated on Maya," Akshvi said, confused.

Raumik explained, "You reacted without hearing the whole story. What I meant was, that's what Maya thinks. She believes I cheated on her, but nothing like that happened. It's a huge misunderstanding that's suffocating our relationship."

Akshvi asked, "But why does she think that? What exactly happened that made her have such a big misunderstanding about you?"

Raumik explained the situation, "I have a friend, Twarita. She likes me, but I only see her as a good friend. One day, she called me to her place because she lives alone here in Mumbai. She told me there was some emergency and needed my help. So, I went to help her. But when I got there, I found out she had called me to propose to me, even though she knew I loved Maya and was in a relationship with her. Still, she proposed. And when I rejected her proposal, she got really upset and started crying. While I was consoling her, she suddenly kissed me."

"What? She kissed you?" Akshvi asked, even more shocked.

Raumik continued, "Yeah, but I immediately pushed her away and left. Later that night, someone sent Maya a photo of me and Twarita kissing. Maya thought I was cheating on her and broke up with me over the phone. She hasn't met me since that day, let alone talked to me. I've tried so hard to explain things to her, but I never got the chance."

Akshvi asked, "Did you ever find out who sent Maya that photo?"

Raumik, slightly angry, responded, "Who else could it be, Akshu? Don't act dumb. It must have been Twarita. There was no one else there that day. She couldn't handle the rejection, and she ruined both my and Maya's lives."

Akshvi said, "Your life isn't ruined, Raumik! Only a few months have been wasted. That doesn't mean you should give up. If you truly love Maya, I'll help you reach out to her. But don't let her slip away from your life. Please."

He couldn't hear their conversation, but seeing them laughing and talking together bothered him. His focus was entirely on the rearview mirror, so he didn't notice when a street dog suddenly appeared in front of his car. Vedang only realized it at the last moment, and he had to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the dog.
