Akshvi was feeling extremely nervous at that moment. She couldn't figure out how she would handle everything. Would she be able to clear the interview or not? Silently, she prayed to her mother, "Maa! Ask your God to take care of everything. Please. I'm really scared."
Maya called out, "Agni Sharma!"
A man present there said, "Yes, I am Agni Sharma."
"Cabin number twelve," Maya instructed.
Agni stood up and walked away. Maya called out a few more names, sending those people to the interview room. As the number of people dwindled, Akshvi's anxiety increased. Her stomach began to ache with nervousness. Just then, Maya said, "Next, Akshvi Sinha!"
Hearing her name, Akshvi felt as if her heart had leaped into her throat. She stood up, and Maya gestured for her to proceed. Nervousness was written all over Akshvi's face.
As she was leaving the waiting room, Maya called her again, "Miss Sinha!"
"Yeah?" Akshvi stopped and replied.
Maya smiled at her and said, "All the best."
Hearing those words from Maya, Akshvi felt something she couldn't quite describe, but a smile appeared on her face. She smiled back and said, "Thank you, ma'am!"
With that, she walked toward the interview room. Maya's words had somehow instilled a sense of confidence in her, and the fear vanished from her face. She knocked on the interview room door, and a voice responded, "Come in."
Akshvi opened the door and walked in. Inside, she saw two people, but one man's chair was turned toward the French window behind him, so she couldn't see his face. However, She greeted the man sitting in front of her, "Good morning, Sir."
"Good morning! Your name... umm... Miss Akshvi Sinha, right?" the man recalled her name.
Akshvi nodded, "Yeah."
The man introduced himself, "I'm Arnav Sehgal."
"Nice meeting you, sir!" Akshvi responded.
Arnav asked, "Do you have any past work experience? Have you worked for any company before?"
"No, sir! This is my first job offer," Akshvi admitted honestly.
Arnav looked through her file and said, "Your file is impressive, Miss Sinha. But as you mentioned, you have no prior work experience. Getting an offer from Sehgal Group of Companies on the first try is a big deal. You are standing in the building of one of the leading companies right now. Can you give us a reason why we should consider hiring you?"
Akshvi thought for a moment and replied, "Sir, I may not have any prior experience, but I am very dedicated to my work and eager to learn new things. If you give me this opportunity, I will do my best to impress you with my work and also gain a lot of learning experience. So, I hope you'll give me this chance to prove myself."
After finishing her words, Akshvi secretly crossed her fingers, hoping to get the job. Arnav listened carefully and began to say, "As you mentioned, you want to..."
