Akshvi walked out of Arnav's cabin with tears in her eyes. First Vedang's constant pestering and then a colleague's comment about her didn't sit well with her. She couldn't control her emotions. On the other hand, Vedang also stepped out of Arnav's cabin, and for some reason, it didn't feel right to see tears in Akshvi's eyes. A pang of guilt hit his heart. He had made her cry for no reason.

Wait a minute, it wasn't without reason. That girl had been rude to him first, so she deserved the punishment. Why should it bother him if she cried? After all, she was just an ordinary assistant, and that too, working for his younger brother. He shouldn't overthink it, nor should he feel guilty. Vedang convinced himself, muttering, "Ahh... I got my revenge for what she did in the elevator. Now, I should stay away from her. Yeah, that's better for me. I'll keep my distance."

Saying this, he headed back to his cabin. A little later, it was lunchtime. Maya entered Arnav's cabin with some files. As she was about to leave, Arnav stopped her and said, "Maya!"

Maya paused and asked, "Yes, sir? Do you need something?"

"Yeah, just check on Akshvi. She didn't seem alright. You know how Bhai is... anyway, try to cheer her up," Arnav said.

Maya smiled lightly and replied, "Okay, sir! Don't worry."

"You may leave," Arnav said, returning to his work.

Akshvi sat at her desk, still lost in her thoughts. Maya approached her with a smile and said, "Akshvi! If you're done with work, shall we have lunch together?"

"Umm... no, ma'am. I don't feel like having lunch," Akshvi said, forcing a faint smile.

Maya realized that Akshvi's mood hadn't improved yet. She pretended not to know anything and asked, "Did something happen, Akshvi? You can tell me. You don't seem alright."

"No, ma'am. Everything is fine. I just have a bit of a headache, nothing else," Akshvi replied, hiding the truth.

Seeing that Akshvi didn't want to share, Maya didn't press further and said, "Alright, take some rest. By the way, if you need help with shifting, just let me know. I can help you after office hours."

Hearing this, Akshvi felt a wave of relief. She had been wondering how she would manage everything by herself. Although she had already secured a nice hostel room with a bed, table, and wardrobe, the idea of Maya helping her made her feel at ease. She happily said, "Really, ma'am? You'll help me?"

"Of course, why not? I'd be happy to," Maya replied with a smile.

Akshvi beamed and said, "Okay then. Thank you so much. See you in the evening."

"Okay. Take care. I'll be off now," Maya said and left.

Akshvi's thoughts gradually shifted away from the earlier events to the evening's task of moving into the hostel. She was excited but also a bit nervous as it was a new experience for her.

Soon, evening arrived. Vedang reached Sehgal Mansion. As soon as he stepped inside, Nisha Ji stood up and said, "You're home, Ved? How was your day?"
