Grian's Perspective-

Grian stepped off of the train, adjusting his scarf around his neck.

The chilly air nipped at his cheeks as he took a moment to survey his surroundings.

The train station bustled with people, their footsteps echoing off the old brick walls.

Grian took a deep breath, the scent of the pine trees filling the air.

With a slight smile, he pulled out his map, his eyes wandering through the town he had heard so much about.

Adventure awaited, and he was ready to dive in. Adjusting his scarf one last time, he stepped forward into the lively crowd, excitement bubbling within him.

He wanders through the shopping center, his eyes landing on a shop with stones and building materials.

"Oooo." Grian whistled, his hands grazing the tough stone.

"Got your eyes on that deepslate?"

Grian looked up and saw a guy with white hair and a black mask. He walked over, his hands in his pockets.

"You can only find that deep down near the Deep Dark." The guy said, "Almost lost my eye trying to get that. He makes you deaf with his super sonic shriek, he can corrupt your heart and muscles with the skulk."

"Oh uh- cool." Grian observed the stone and the guy left behind the counter.

-

Grian walked out with a wagon carrying a shucker box of deep slate. He headed towards the woods where he would be building his home and he heard someone walk over to him.

"Um excuse me, do you need help?" The guy smiled, hearing the squeaky wheels and seeing Grian struggle to keep pulling the wagon.

Grian looked the guy up and down. He looked very fancy wearing a suit and having a mustache that looked as though it never had a hair out of place without the guy freaking out.

"No." Grian said, his calloused hands pulling the wagon again as he trudged through the snowy weather.

"A-are you sure? You look like you're struggling. I'm Mumbo and this is my assistant Grumbot; we can help."

Grian raised an eyebrow and saw a little robot trailing behind the mustached man.

Grian snorted, "Oh so you're fancy and you got a robot assistance."

Mumbo sighed and he nodded at the robot, who drifted over and took the wagon from Grian, fixing the wheels.

"I got here myself, I don't need your help. I'm not a child."

"I'm not saying you are, I'm just saying assistance is sometimes needed." Mumbo said, smirking.

Grian grumbled, wanting to wipe that smirk right off his face.

The robot beeped and the guy tore his eyes from Grian.

"Ah- thank you Grumbot!! See, that wasn't so hard? Maybe you shouldn't snap at people so easily and see they're actually trying to help you."

Grian stomped on Mumbo's foot before grabbing his wagon.

Mumbo winced and shouted. "OW! What the heck?!"

The robot beeped angrily and tried to punch Grian, who nudged it away.

"Remind me to never help him again." Mumbo muttered and Grumbot nodded.

-

Scar was holding a giant welcoming party for newcomers in Scarland. Grian walked around, uninterested.

"Why hello there!"

Grian turned around and saw Scar, Mumbo standing behind him.

Mumbo's smile disappeared and he glared at Grian, who returned the gesture.

Scar laughed nervously.

"S-so I heard that there was a bit of a disagreement between you two in the shopping district. Y-you see Grian, Mumbo is our mayor and you can't really uh- well hurt him."

"Well I did." Grian said, shrugging.

"Y-yes but you uh- shouldn't." Scar smiled and Mumbo folded his arms, a confident smile on his face.

"Well he's a bad mayor." Grian said.

"What? How?" Mumbo asked, "I tried to help you, yet you snapped at me."

"You kept bothering me when I didn't want your help."

"W-well yes but I'm supposed to help out all of my neighbors."

"By pestering them until they have to accept your help? I didn't want to talk to you."

Mumbo's cheeks flushed red from embarrassment.

"If you wanna help out your neighbors, you shouldn't keep nagging them and let them figure it out. They'll ask for help when they need it."

"Really? Cause you seem like you'd never ask for help and just suffer." Mumbo said.

"Look, I do my thing and you do yours. But don't keep shoving your way into my life."

"Well I'm sorry," Mumbo towered over Grian, "but I'm the mayor of this town and you're going to have to deal with it."

"And you're going to have to deal with this." Grian flicked Mumbo's forehead before leaving.

Mumbo blushed and he huffed, turning away and hiding his red face.

Kinda tried to turn it into fluff at the end but I left on a cliffhanger so Cylia if you ever want more to it or if anyone does let me know.
