Scar's Perspective-

Scar looked down at the string on his pinkie finger, connecting him to Grian.

Scar took a step closer, feeling the cold air surround him.

Grian glanced over his shoulder briefly.

"Scar, can you stop trying to bring those pandas in?"

Scar stopped and he adjusted his hat, hiding his eyes.

"Do you care?"

"Yes, Scar of course I care. That's why I'm telling you to leave the pandas. They're not going to help us in our time of need."

"What do you mean our?"

Grian looked at Scar who laughed bitterly.

"Martyn was right about you." Scar spat, "You're just a survivor."

Grian narrowed his eyes.

"Hey, at least I didn't leave you like Scott did for Cleo."

"You're only sticking with me to make sure I don't die!! You probably don't even care about me!! As long as you're alive you don't care." Scar said, his hands balling up into fists, "You're- you're a traitor! You keep saying all these things to try and get in my head and control me."

"Scar- "

Scar stepped back and looked up at Grian, who looked worried.

"You- you- "

"Do you really trust Martyn? He's been going nuts since his soulmate ditched him!" Grian said.

"I trust him more than I'd ever trust you." Scar said in a bitter tone, "Cause unlike you, he actually gives a frick about me."

Scar stormed off and Grian sighed.

Grian's Perspective-

Grian grumbled as he tried to collect wood for their base, feeling his heart crack as Scar kept taking damage.

"Ugh, Scar stop it!" Grian hissed, taking a break to eat an apple.

His eyes landed on a figure beside him and he looked to his left, seeing Big B.

"Hey." Big B smiled, strolling over.

"Hi." Grian sighed.

"Soulmate troubles?" Big B asked, glancing at the hearts on Grian's wrist and how the green one kept cracking before healing.

"Tell me about it." Grian mumbled.

Big B smiled sympathetically.

"I feel you. Ren's been so dramatic and overreacting, I honestly don't know how he can get anything done without turning it into a whole Shakespeare play."

Grian laughed, "Yeah he sounds like he'd be a lot."

"But what's going on with you and Scar?"

"Oh it's just...he's being stupid." Grian ran a hand through his hair, "He keeps thinking I'm trying to control him and don't care about him."

"I mean...do you?" Big B asked and Grian looked down.

"I...yeah, of course I do." Grian whispered.

Big B shrugged, sitting under the shady tree.

"I don't know. To me it seems like you only really care about trying to make it through another day."

Grian sat down next to him.

"Don't you? Being stuck with someone so careless like Scar is a living nightmare. He doesn't think twice before he acts, and he just does what he wants. He'd die if it wasn't for me."

Big B chuckled.

"Maybe I should've chosen my soulmate like Cleo and Scott."

Big B looked up at Grian, seeing how the wind gently tangled his dirty blonde hair.

"It's never too late to try." Big B said in a soft tone and Grian looked up at him.

Big B smiled and Grian blushed a bit.

"I- "

Grian felt a sharp pain and he groaned, gripping his heart.

"Scar!" He cursed under his breath and Big B put his hand on Grian's shoulder.

"You okay?" Big B asked hurriedly.

Grian huffed, "And I'm the crazy one..."

Big B chuckled and he opened his bag, taking out a little tin of cookies.

"Here." He said, his hand brushing against Grian's, causing them both to blush.

"Thanks..." Grian said in a quiet voice before trying one.

He smiled and Big B blushed, feeling his heart race.

"These are really good." Grian said, feeling his heart heal itself.

"Oh that's good! I'm glad you like them, it makes me happy to see you smile."

Grian flushed red and Big B smiled.

"I'm sorry that Scar doesn't see how amazing you are, but know that I do." Big B said in a soft tone before kissing Grian's hand.
