Don't yell at me I know it's been a while with these uploads but there's so many books I have to publish too and I have school on the side!!!
But thanks for sticking with me <3
"You look miserable, what's up?"
Bob walks beside me instead of behind me.
We've started becoming so casually comfortable with each other that we walk down the corridors of WICKED like we're friends and he's not trying to surveillance me.
"Do you really want to hear about my boy problems?" I raise my brow up at him and he nods.
If I could see through his mask I know he's smiling right now.
"Let's hear it princess."
"My boyfriend doesn't say I love you back to me. And when I radio to him, it's like he's avoidant. So from a guys perspective is he-"
"He's not cheating on you Blake." He shuts down any of my suspicions immediately. I'm pretty sure they haven't met and he's already taking his side!
"But-"
"Luke's already told me the bullshit you vented out to your sister. But guys don't make nicknames for the girl you're cheating on."
"So what is it! It's like he does things that shows me he loves me, like makes a whole different radio station for me. But when I give it back, it's like he doesn't accept anything I give him."
"Okay this got way too deep for my intellectual ability." Graham groans placing a hand in his head and I couldn't help but giggle.
"Yeah he doesn't have a lot of that does he?" Luke joins our side now as the three of us walk together side by side.
"You know as much as I hated you two in the start, I'm really grateful." I stare at the two of them with wide smiles and they both stop to turn and look at each other then turn their heads to me.
"We're grateful you can cook." Luke offered a compliment back and my mouth drops.
Absolute dick.
"I'm grateful for the entertainment you provide me."
"And this is why your my favourite bob."

"So these are lab updates, it looks like we're heading in the right direction so far."
Teresa points out the drastically splayed out on paper as we sit together whilst she eats her really late and I look at all the analytics and data she provides and listed under the medicine we use.
Our once a week late night debriefs.
"How's the crank ward looking?"
I ask her as I lift my pen circling all the higher percentage doses that show the most improved increases.
"It's hard seeing it, but it's all for a good cause." She sighs when I mention it as I see her immediately discomforted.
"And Shai? Is she...worse?" I ask about the girl they have in there. She got bitten and ever since then she's just been maintained as a wicked lab rat.
"We're hoping with the new enzymes we've discovered we can hopefully give her more time. Or save her." She didn't sound hopeful. She sounded worried.
"It's nice how all the kids connect with you, I think your better off sticking with the children's ward-"
"I mean I'd prefer to be alone or with Avery." I hate seeing the kids. Not that they're hard to be around. On some days they're my only source of entertainment.
But it's hurting them that hurts me the most.
Sitting them in the same position I was once sat in.
Scarring their memories for life.
"You'd prefer to be alone?" She sounds so surprised by my words as she lifts her head up to look straight at me.
