Monica's POV

I was on my way back to my apartment when the news popped up stating the building is on fire ...shit it's the building where Zoya and Athena was staying, driver please bit faster my heart was racing i don't have the courage to face any bad news. I reached there rushing the relief i got after Zoya and Athena crying outside holding each other I hope they're all right. Athena saw me she came rushing towards me for some reason she came and hugged me .

"We lost our home "..no my dear you'll never loose your home i hugged her I was on my knees. I saw Zoya she was crying her eyes were Red she was watching our interaction. My child will never suffer no more, but I need to know more about Zoya does she know or she pretends she don't know is this why she's trying to push me away from Athena.

Wow Ms Mittal this house is really big Athena said looking around in wonder. Ahaa which room do you prefer sweetie, i sleep with mommy Zoya was silent probably still in shock about the fire. Police said the cause was short circuit 4 people died. They lost a lot of things but still Zoya managed to collect some important documents and some necessities but it was short they've lost most of them.

Zoya's POV

I rushed from club by the news my heart was racing thank God the fire haven't reached our home I managed to save my daughter and couple of necessities. Yet I feel like I've lost everything where am I going to live and the finances i don't know what to do, that's when her figure came into view her eyes showed worry . Then Athena ran into her hands and they hugged as if she's her own daughter. She seems so relieved seeing Athena. She's in her work clothes well most of the time she's like that but still did she came straight away hearing this why is she so much concerned. I was little uncomfortable with the moment why would my daughter hug her and soon she was in her car what is this woman doing. With courage I went to fight her

Fuck I think I loose my balance hearing that sound soon I was also with my daughter to her multi-million apartment. After years i stepped into luxury my daughter was more surprised not normal for her , i know she would have grown here but I can't let you go. I was sad about everything. Monica and I haven't talked regarding anything how long are we gonna stay here.

My daughter was taking a shower she was so happy and surprised with the luxuries I was happy that she was smiling, while she was bathing lots of stuffs including pillows , dolls, stuffed dolls everything came Monica was behind the staffs. I stood up from bed while they decorated the room.

Monica this is more than enough this is too much and...

We'll talk later Zoya let her be happy for now she's tired and probably exhausted let her have some fun. I kept my mouth shut.

Soon my daughter finished her bath wow mommy are they all mine yes dear it's all yours Monica answered the question from the door with a smile it's rare that woman smile. My daughter was happy and chripy but for some reason I felt sad no matter how much hard i work i cannot provide my child that much. Athena was overwhelmed with the toys playing while I sat there numb. Monica invited us for dinner.

For the first time Monica sat near us this time she was near Athena I sat on other side she was serving Athena. For some reason I found it odd. Monica never even talked to me when we were staying together nor did she sat near me. Did she know something my mind panicked lots of dishes was on table but I don't find the appetite to eat anything. I was lost in my own world someone nudged me Zoya you haven't touched your food Monica's voice lingered in my ears . It was calm not her usual tone of strictness.
