Monica's POV

One thing I hate in my life is drama. I've never been a part of it, but today, all of a sudden, a college student pulled a stunt. I hate rich, spoiled brats like her. She's intelligent, but that doesn't excuse her shitty behavior. How can someone call your CEO a bitch, punch my future employee in the face, question my choices, and show a middle finger at me? Who is she? What does she think of herself? This is the first time in my life that anyone has talked to me that way. And that brat walked away like nothing happened.

I was beyond pissed. The manager, Dean, and officers all apologized on her behalf, but where was she? That girl was nowhere to be seen. I had genuine reasons for not choosing her. I was being rational-she doesn't fit in the employee category I am hiring for.She doesn't fit for that desk job. An HR role might be okay. She's a cardinal type-I mean, the leading type.

Let's say, for example, one day you have to tell your boss to act like a normal employee. How does that make your boss feel? Does that suit him? No. She has the same aura. I wanted intelligent and introverted models as my employees, but she was not it. She acted like a leader. I am not saying it's a bad thing-she's good-but it doesn't match with the profession I have to offer, so I chose more introverted and nerdy ones.

Due to the incident, I had to halt the interview process. What a waste of time."What do you mean she's not here?"

I questioned them.

"Ma'am, we've warned the student, even extended her suspension to one week, but she's not ready to show up.""Then you should call her and tell her that it's compulsory.""We're sorry, ma'am. We'll call the student soon."The brat didn't even show up. She has to come, or I will make her come.Soon she arrived with a pissed-off expression. I smiled internally. What was she thinking, disrespecting me and getting a free vacation?

"Why am I called here?" she said, entering the office."Ms. Zoya, you have to apologize to Miss Mittal for your misbehavior."

"Why is it the college's concern? What I said to Ms. Mittal is our individual problem. Miss Mittal is not a staff member of the college, so you guys shouldn't be forcing me to apologize. I have already apologized to Elena. That is valid since she's a student here. As for this lady here, she doesn't work for the college, so as the dean and manager of the college, you should not be interfering in this."She's getting on my nerves with her audacity... but she has a valid point. Well, I must say I like challenges. She's smart; I smirked internally. "And I have a complaint against you. You cannot extend my suspension based on Ms. Mittal's complaint. It's unfair." With that, she flipped her hair and walked out of the room. All the dignitaries were staring, dumbfounded.

"Ma'am, we apologize for her behavior."I signaled with my hand to stop them. "It's okay. She has a point. I am happy it turned out this way so that I don't have to hire her."

I was about to get in my car when I saw her walking in my direction. She had a cigarette in her mouth. She came near me, staring somewhere else, and said, "Sorry," and started to walk away. Her behavior surprised me."Well, how considerate," I said. She stopped in her tracks and turned around. "I thought you wanted that apology so bad.""So you're apologizing because I wanted it, not because you did something wrong?""Yeah, I don't think I said anything wrong.""You called me a bitch," I said, raising my eyebrows at her. For some reason, this woman is getting on my nerves so much with her attitude and way of talking."Because you're one," she said, shrugging her shoulders. That made me chuckle a bit. I don't have time for this. It's not your duty to fix humans. Stop wasting time and go, Monica. My mind said to myself."Okay," with that, I turned around.

"Wait," she muttered. I stopped in my track. "What was the reason?" she said again. I think she needs to know it, so I explained everything in short."If you had said that reason earlier, then I would not have called you a bitch," she said, eyeing me."Doesn't matter," I said, leaving."So does that mean you can hire me in other positions?" Seriously, she thinks I am that easy."No, Miss Zoya, I don't think you'll ever step into my company again," I said, opening my car door."Well, fuck you then," she said, showing her middle finger. I shook my head. Fucking brat. No woman in the last 10 years has pissed me off as much as her.Calm down, Monica. You're not going to deal with such drama again. Come on, back to composure. You'll probably never see that woman again. Don't overthink. Just think that she's some low-class bitch.
