I stared at my reflection, the dim lamp casting a soft golden glow on my face. Yug's surgery went great, and he's absolutely healthy now, for which I'm thankful to Avyay and his family. A burden of fear that I had been carrying for so long was now lifted, and I couldn't be more happier.
Tomorrow I'll be married. I can't say I'm happy, but I'm not upset either. Everything was sorted now; Avyay did his job, and now it was my turn to return the favor.
I closed my eyes, as Avyay's composed came into view as always. I remember when I first gazed into his deep eyes, staring back into mine; my heart skipped a beat. I felt a different kind of adrenaline rush through my nerves, making me feel foreign emotions.
I find myself smiling when I watch him smile. I don't know why I find reasons to be near him. It's not a lie that he makes me feel weird things in my stomach when he's near.
I couldn't shake off the feeling of the touch when our hands brushed against eachother for the first time. The sensation lingered in my mind like a gentle reminder.
I often find myself captivated by his soothing voice. In fact, everything he does makes my heart flutter, whether it's the way he walks or the way he eats.
He gives me endless comfort with his presence, without even him knowing it. He feels like home which I never had throughout these years.
But why I'm feeling this way?
I have felt these feelings since the moment I met him, but I always ignored them because Yug's health was more important to me than these pointless feelings. But now that I think about it, I realise how complicated my emotions are for him.
"Diduu!" My chain of thoughts broke upon hearing Yug's yell. "Hey, why are you shouting? My ears are working just fine," I said, turning to him.
"Oh really?! I have been calling since past two minutes. Where are you lost?" He stated, as I clicked my tongue. But before I could respond, he said with a teasing smirk.
"Kahin aap jiju ke baare mein toh nhi soch rahi thi?"
He raised his one eyebrow, and I cleared my throat. (You were thinking about Jiju, weren't you?)"I-It's nothing like that!" He nodded his head dramatically, still smiling, making me roll my eyes, Though I tried to hide my own smile. He's becoming way too naughty these days.
"Achcha vo sab chhodo. Ye batao ki kal mein shhadi mein kya pehnu?" Yug asked, showing me a black tuxedo and a black kurta. His obsession with black is on another level. [Okay leave all that. Tell me what should I wear for the wedding tomorrow?]
"Hmm... This one," I pointed at the kurta as it'll suit him more. "Okay, done!" He said excitedly making me chuckle. Even if he says he has grown up, he's still a child on the inside.
'Didu! I'm so excited for the your wedding. You know, I'll click all your pictures and..." And like this he continued with his non stop chatter like a chatter box he is.
I wouldn't admit it, but somewhere I was happy that everything was going smoothly.
