A Few Weeks Later-

Akshita's Pov

"What?!" I almost yelled. I hope my outburst wouldn't reach to the other members.

And the reason?

Well, I'd heard that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, but apparently, that's not my fate. Cause my life has handed me bitter lemons instead!

You must be wondering what nonsense I'm uttering. But right now, I'm not in my right mind.

Amira Bhabhi looked at me with an apologetic expression, her eyes resembling puppy eyes. "Akshita, I'm truly sorry. You know I wouldn't have cancelled if it wasn't an emergency."

The thing is, Bhabhi and Shlok bhai were supposed to accompany Avyay and me on our vacation. But now they couldn't make it, as they had to leave immediately for one of her friend's wedding.

I mean, just when I thought my life couldn't get more dramatic, God proved me wrong.

Well, it's you who dares to challenge him again and again—shut up! Nvm.

But it doesn't matter though, as I'm perfectly fine and comfortable with going on vacation with Avyay alone.

I asked him to invite others to join us, as I thought he might feel awkward or I guess...... uncomfortable.

Yes, you heard that absolutely right.

I was entirely comfortable with the idea of going on vacation with him. But I made that suggestion so that he doesn't feel any kind of discomfort. I knew he said he wouldn't mind, but I also knew he was being considerate to avoid upsetting me.

But discussing this further is now literally pointless, since Bhabhi has ditched us at the last minute.

Wow.

My life is so happening, no?

But wait, why am I worrying and rotting my brain over this?

It's him who feels awkward, not me. So, it's totally his problem.

"Akshita, I apologize for putting you both in this situation, even after knowing the truth. But I think destiny is not on our side," Bhabhi said, her eyes hopeful.

I sighed; it didn't matter to me now. I understood her helplessness, and I was sure Avyay would too.

"It's alright, Bhabhi," I assured her, and soon after, she left.

I plopped onto the bed, my body sinking into the soft mattress.

I'm having a gut feeling and I'm damn sure this trip will be anything but boring.

But again, what more can I expect from my fate?

"Diduuu!" I rolled my eyes, recognizing the voice all too well.

Oh god, not again!

Yug burst into the room, a wide grin plastered on his face as he gazed at me with twinkling eyes.
