**Author's POV**

As the first rays of sunlight peeked through the blinds, they danced across the room, illuminating the peaceful scene within.

Akshita's eyes, squinting at first, gradually opened to reveal a mixture of disorientation and grogginess. She rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep as a yawn escaped her lips. Her gaze wandered around the room, taking in the sight of sunlight streaming through the curtains.

It wasn't until she spotted a figure sleeping beside her soundlessly that memories of the previous night came flooding back. It didn't take much time for her to start admiring him, unknowingly.

Akshita found herself mesmerized by the gentle rise and fall of his chest. His features, normally sharp and defined, were softened in sleep, giving a vulnerable, almost boyish appearance.

As she watched, a faint smile played on her lips. It was as if, in sleep, he had shed his usual guarded demeanor, revealing a more relaxed side of him. Her eyes lingered on his face for a little while, taking in every detail. It was fleeting, fragile moment, one that would vanish as soon as he wakes up.

That night, she got aware of the warmth of his body, even if they were far away.
It was soothing, comforting presence, one that seemed
to wrap itself around her like soft blanket.

For a moment, Akshita forgot about their relation, forgot about the formalities and expectations that came with their arrangement. All she saw was the person in front of her, the gentle, peaceful figure who seemed to radiate a sense of calm.

Without her knowing, her hand reached out and was ready to caress his cheeks, but just then something stopped her. The feeling erupted inside her like a volcano, asking her to stop her actions right there. And with slow movements, she took her hand back, her eyes flickering with unknown emotions.

"Agar aapne mujhe achhe se nihaar liya ho toh kya mein uth jaaun?" Avyay opened one eye and asked, amusement in his voice as his lips curled up slightly at the corners. Akshita, startled by the sudden voice, jumped slightly, her palm reaching up to her chest. Her cheeks instantly heated up, and she avoided his gaze.

"H-haan...n-nahi...humara matlab...voh hum...kuch nahi!" With that, Akshita ran inside the washroom while Avyay chuckled at her adorable side, shaking his head.

Closing the door behind her, Akshita touched her chest, feeling the rapid heartbeats. But she could not deny the faint smile threatening to appear on her lips. Without wasting further time, she quickly took a shower, as today she was going to rejoin her college after the holidays. Her college reopened one week before, but due to all the things going on, she was unable to attend.

She got dressed in a red long kurti that reached below her knees; its intricate embroidery with deeper red thread enhanced its beauty. She paired it with a red Palazzo of a similar shade. Letting her hair down and wearing small studs as earrings, she looked in the mirror for the last time, satisfied with her look. Hesitating a bit, she stepped out of the wardrobe only to catch him working on his laptop.
