A/N's POV:

Sonic sped his way down the luscious forest path towards his favorite spot to relax.

As the path stopped and turned right he kept going forward, dodging the trees and shrubbery before coming to a quick stop. His eyes laid soon the flower field before him, a large tree in the center.

Sonic's POV:

"It's great to be back!" I said cheerfully, picking one and sniffing it. I held the flower between my fingers as I walked over the tree, leaning against it. A certain flower caught my attention, a lavender, my favorite of course!

"How come I haven't seen these before?" I questioned myself as I picked it, getting a good whiff of its heavenly smell.

"What a beauty!" I said gleaming at the flower field.

"Getting googly eyes over flowers is very pathetic faker." I hear the deep voice from above me, causing me to jump. "Shads?! What are you doing here..?" I said a little embarrassed.

"I was minding my own business resting on the tree, and don't call me that.." he growled, I just sighed, "I really thought this was a place that only I know.." said pouting. Shadow chaos controlled down looking as grumpy as ever, "Do you always whine.." he grumbled

"Do you always have to be grumpy?" I replied, I didn't mean to sound that rude. That made him growl his expression growing more irritated, "Do you want to fight me faker?!" He yelled, A idea popped in my head just then.

Shadow's POV:

I looked at his face brighten which meant he probably had another dumb idea, "what's with the face." I asked, "well I got an idea!" He replied.
"What's the 'idea', it better not be dumb." I said holding the bridge of my nose.
"How about we race and whoever loses won't come here again!" He said very confidently.

I sigh deeply, "fine.."
"Great!"
This idiot is gonna loose, unless..
"Okay, ready?" He asked me.
I nod. "Okay, to that big tree right there!" Faker began counting down from three.
I get ready to run, but before he even reached zero he sped off! "Cheater!" I yell out to him. "You're just mad you're gonna loose~" he teased.

Sonic's POV:

I snicker as I hear shadow growl, picking up his pace. I look to my side a little shocked to see shadow already caught up, his eyes locking with mine for a slit second as we get closer to the finish line. I ran faster and faster, before I see him speed down by the slightest bit.

I reach out for the tree, and barely miss it. Shadow arrived just after me. "I won!" I manage to yell even if I was out of breath from running so fast. He just nods, and stayed quiet.
"You okay shads?" I asked him concerned, before sighing. "We can share the field if you want, I don't have a problem!" I said again. He looked at me, "fine, but we don't speak of this again." He said. "Okay but quick question.. why did you let me win?" I asked him.

Shadow's POV:

'Shit what do I tell him?!' I panicked in my own head, "I didn't let you win." I replied flatly.
"Okay sure shads~" He said teasing obviously knowing I was lying. "Why would I let you win, you're my damn rival." I replied to him. He thought for a second, "true.. but you did slow down, why..?" He said.

"Can you just let it go?" I growled, "Okay, okay, edge lord~" he teased again. "Don't call me that!" I snapped, I hated that nickname so much, not to mention rouge says it to me every day..

"Sorry shads!" He said while smiling sheepishly, I rolled my eyes and began walking back to the field. "Wait up!" I heard him shout behind me. "What do you want now faker?!" I Said clearly irritated. "Sorry, just want to talk a little more!" He said walking along side me.

This is just chapter one I have a whole night to go! I'm tired as heck but yeah I'm doing it! Nevertheless, don't loose sleep bc fun fact when you lose sleep you brain eats its own cells!
