The sun began rising, casting a warm glow over the city as Den and Manjiro sat on the edge of their bed, the weight of the day already pressing on them. Today, they would confront the reality of their relationship and their place in Den's family.

Last night they had been a mixture of tension and intimacy, a reprieve from the storm that was sure to follow. They'd said their "I love you's," and shared a quiet moment of reconciliation, but there was still so much left unsaid. The Lombardi family, notorious in their own right, had long been a part of Denise's world. Now, her marriage to Manjiro, the head of Bonten, complicated things more than she ever imagined.

As the two sat quietly, their daughter, Emma, suddenly burst into the room, full of energy and curiosity.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Emma shouted, her small feet padding quickly across the floor as she climbed onto the bed. "Will Emma meet Emma's Uncle today?" She was holding a colourful drawing in her hands—a family portrait, with herself, her parents, and even a figure labelled "Uncle Donny."

Den smiled softly at her daughter's innocence, though the heaviness in her heart remained. "Yes, sweetheart, we're going to see them today. Are you excited?"

Emma nodded vigorously. "Yes! Emma made a drawing for Uncle. Do you think Uncle Donny will like it?"

Manjiro leaned over, ruffling Emma's hair affectionately. "Of course, he will, sweetie. "

But beneath his calm exterior, Manjiro's thoughts were elsewhere. He wasn't worried about Donatello appreciating Emma's drawing. He was worried about what kind of reaction the man would have when he learned about everything—the marriage, the child, the secrecy, the fact that Bonten, of all people, were now connected to the Lombardi family.

Their moment was interrupted when Kokonoi and Sanzu knocked lightly on the door, entering just after Emma had run over to show her drawing. Kokonoi gave them a quick nod, glancing at Manjiro before turning his attention back to Den. "Everything is set for the meeting," Koko said. "But... are you sure about this?"

Den sighed, feeling the weight of her decision. "I have to be. This can't stay hidden any longer, and if anyone should hear it first, it's Donatello. He's my family. I trust him." From Den's perspective, Don should hear the story first than their grandpa.

Manjiro, still seated on the bed, gave Kokonoi a silent nod, his jaw clenched. There was no turning back now.
