Ed watched his wife talk to Sam's family across the yard, smiling and laughing but even being ten feet from her made his heart ache.
"Hello, Suzanne Walters" A woman flashed him a seductive smile and outstretched her hand to him.
"Ed, Warren" He smiled, shaking her hand.
Lorraine's eyes moved across the yard, spotting Ed smiling at a woman who was very obviously flirting with him.
"My Aunt flirts with everyone, there's nothing to worry about" Sam told her, briefly pulling her eyes away from her husband.
"Ed wouldn't even think about it" Lorraine assured him.
"Your jealousy is showing mom" Lorraine laughed lightly.
"So is your father's. He only took his eyes off me to talk"
"Can you two seriously not spend two minutes apart?"
"I think it's sweet" Sam argued gently.
"Just wait until you're pregnant, your dad didn't let me go anywhere without him or lift a finger" Sam smiled down at Judy as she smiled up at him, Lorraine let her eyes drift back to her husband and the woman who now had her hand on his chest.
"Excuse me a moment" She smiled at the couple before she headed off towards her husband.
"Hey hon" He smiled, his attention instantly moving to her.
"Hey. Lorraine Warren" She smiled at the woman who was less than pleased to shake her hand.
"Suzanne Walters" She smiled but Lorraine could see through the fake sincerity.
"I think we're sitting down in a minute" Ed nodded, holding his arm out for her to take.
"Then we'd better take out seats"
"It was nice meeting you" Lorraine smiled at Suzanne but Ed didn't give her another look as they headed off to find their seats.

Ed rose from the table, tapping his knife on the side of his glass.
"I'm sorry to disturb you all but you are in my house" Ed joked, earning laughter from around him "We've all gathered here today to witness a commitment of love between Sam and Judy and I know that we are all happy to be here for them today" He cleared his throat, his hand going to Lorraine's shoulder "As some of you know Judy was our miracle, one that we are thankful for every day. I met my wife whilst working at a movie theater and I fell absolutely in love at first sight. I can only hope that Sam loves my daughter with the same passion and adoration in which I love her mother" He raised his glass high "To the happy couple and all the years that are to come"
"To the happy couple!" Everyone cheered, clinking their glasses against one another's. Ed clinked his glass against Lorraine's, taking a sip before he placed it on the table. The music started up and Ed smiled down at Lorraine.
"May I have this dance Mrs Warren?"
"You may" She smiled, placing her own glass down before she took his hand, letting him lead her to the dance floor. Ed took her hip in his hand, holding her hand against his chest as her other went around his shoulders. They always danced like this, close, barely a breath between them.
"Have I told you how beautiful you are?" She smiled up at him.
"Tell me again"
"You're beautiful" He smiled down at her before he dropped his lips against hers.

Ed kept Lorraine dancing until both of their feet ached and the band had to go.
"My feet ache" She whined slightly, wishing to kick off her heels when Ed dropped to his knees and tugged them off.
"Better?"
"Much" She sighed contently when Ed rose from his knees pulling her into his arms as he went. Lorraine lay across his arms, looking up at his satisfied smile.
"Better?"
"Your heart-"
"Is fine" He assured her as he carried her inside, settling into his armchair with her across his lap "Today was a good day" He sighed heavily, playing with her hair absentmindedly.
"These two have been like this since they met" Georgianna told Judy and Sam as they moved into the living room.
"Really?" Judy smiled, interested in learning more.
"Oh yes, they thought no one knew when Ed climbed in through her bedroom window-"
"Mom!" Lorraine and Judy exclaimed at their mother.
"You thought I wouldn't know? You ran off with him for three days, I was sure that you would come back pregnant but instead you had a ring on your finger"
"Mom, we never-"
"Lorraine Moran don't you dare lie to me, I know what you and Ed got up to in the back of his car" Georgianna shot her a warning look, making Lorraine blush into Ed's shoulder.
"You ran off with dad for three days!? Why?"
"Because we were young and crazy about one another and going home to separate homes hurt" Ed explained.
"Seriously dad?"
"He barely leaves my side, what do you expect?" Lorraine smiled.
"Speaking of running away, I think it's time to turn in Mrs Spera" Sam stood and held out his hand to her which she gladly took.
"I'd better get home too" Georgianna announced.
"Goodnight everyone" Ed smiled from his seat, he and Lorraine not moving from their position.
"Night" Judy and Sam smiled before they and Georgianna left the house, plunging it into silence.
"We need to get to bed"
"Five more minutes" Ed grunted.
"Your back will ache if we stay here"
"I know" He sighed. Lorraine stood and took his hands in hers, tugging him up. Ed followed her upstairs, both of them changing before they climbed into bed, Ed settling onto his back as Lorraine tucked into his side, her hand resting over his heart.
"I love you, Ed" She muttered.
"I love you too, Lorraine. I have since I first saw you" He muttered back.
"Me too" She muttered, sleep taking over as she listened to his rhythmic breathing, letting it soothe her off to sleep and when she was asleep Ed let himself fall asleep, knowing that she was safe in his arms.
