Ed sat at the table reading the newspaper as Lorraine moved around the kitchen, making them both breakfast. The phone rang out, breaking through the quiet noise of the morning.
"I'll get it" Ed smiled, heading out into the hall. He lifted the phone from the receiver and placed it to his ear "Warren residence"
"Hello, this is detective Marsh, I was wondering if I could speak with yourself and your wife about a murder case"
"I don't know if anyone told you this but we only deal with the paranormal"
"I think it was something paranormal that did the killing"
"I see"
"I can be at your home for 11 O'clock"
"Alright, we'll see you then"
"See you then" Ed placed the phone back into the receiver and headed back into the kitchen.
"Who was that?"
"A detective. A demon spirit killed someone and he wants our help" She nodded before she sipped her tea "Are you sure that you want to take this case?"
"I'm sure. I'll be fine, Ed" She tried to assure him. He reached across the table and placed his hand over hers.
"We stop at any time if it gets to be too much" She nodded.
"We've got this" She smiled, earning one back in response "Now, eat your breakfast before it gets cold"
"Yes hon"

Ed let detective Marsh in and led him into the living room as Lorraine bought in a tray of tea.
"My wife, Lorraine" She smiled, shaking the detective's hand.
"It's nice to meet you both"
"How can we help you exactly detective?" Lorraine asked as she poured them all a cup.
"A murder was committed. A young couple living alone, only one of them left the house walking"
"The wife or the husband?" Lorraine asked as she sat on the arm of Ed's armchair.
"The wife, walking, the husband in a body bag"
"What are you thinking hon?"
"He protected his wife"
"We thought that she had killed him in a fit of rage but he and the crime scene looked like he had been tossed around" They both nodded.
"It's common in possession for the person to be moved around and even flung across a room" Ed explained and Lorraine couldn't help but notice the doubt in Marsh's eyes.
"You don't believe in what we do. You don't believe what I can do"
"Unfortunately it's hard for me to believe" He admitted.
"Then why come here at all?"
"Because I know Claudia is innocent and I don't want her to go to prison for something that she is innocent of" Lorraine nodded.
"I'll need something from the crime scene, something with meaning"
"Will this do?" Marsh asked, pulling a bloody knife in an evidence bag out of suit jacket. Lorraine nodded, moving to take a seat on the floor she took in a deep breath and expelled it before she closed her eyes and touched the bag. Lorraine was transported to a dirty and dark attic, she moved forward, taking slow steps towards the crib in front of her. It was rocking slowly but as she got close enough to see in, it stopped rocking. Then it was gone. Lorraine turned, hearing cries from a newborn. It was so close and yet so far.
"I know your weakness" A voice spoke to her from the darkness "I took them from you"
"Show me. Show me who you are demon" Lorraine demanded. She felt cold wash over her from behind. She turned, feeling a scream leave her lips as she saw a dark being looming over, nothing more than a shadow but Lorraine could feel the power of the evil it held. It grabbed her by the throat, lifting her off her feet.
"I will take him too"
"No!" Lorraine screamed again before she awoke, feeling Ed's hands at her shoulders.
"Lorraine!? Lorraine, what happened!?" She bolted from the floor charging into the kitchen, managing to reach the sink before she emptied her stomach.
"What happened?"
"It didn't show me the murder. It was trying to hurt me, it showed me the babies" Lorraine managed to get out before she burst into tears and buried her head into Ed's shoulder.
Ed calmed Lorraine down and made her a cup of tea before he and detective Marsh moved into the kitchen to talk.
"Her visions take a toll"
"Was this the worst one?"
"I'm not sure. I won't know until she speaks to me"
"It was bad" Lorraine's voice came from the doorway.
"You should be resting" His gentle tone angered her.
"I'm not made of glass, you're the one with a weak heart" She muttered as she moved over to the sink, placing her teacup inside.
"That doesn't mean that I won't worry about you anyway" She nodded.
"I know, I'm sorry" She apologized but he'd already forgiven her.
"What did you see? If it's okay to ask that" Detective Marsh asked.
"There was a crib in what looked like an attic, it was rocking but as I got closer it stopped. I heard a baby crying behind me but I couldn't get to it, I didn't know where it was coming from. The demon spoke to me. It said that it knew me and that it took them from me. Then it said that it would take you too, Ed"
"What did it mean by it took them from you?" Detective Marsh asked and Ed shot Lorraine and sad look.
"My visions take a toll on me, mentally, and physically. Usually it makes me weak for a while but sometimes they take something physical, more than a few times my visions took my child"
"How many?" Ed's hand went to her shoulder in comfort.
"Five. We only had one baby born to us, our miracle"
"Five?" She met Ed's sad eyes.
"When I had the premonition of your death, it took a lot from me"
"You never told me"
"Because it hurt, Ed. Judy wanted a little brother or sister and we always wanted another child, seeing you die and losing the baby broke me. I saw a darkness that no one should ever know" She felt Ed pull her into his side squeezing her slightly "Whatever we're dealing with is highly dangerous"
"Lorraine hon-"
"We're helping them" Her words were final and Ed knew better than to argue with her when she had set her mind to something.
"Okay"
"So, where do you begin?"
