Lorraine awoke first, feeling Ed's even breathing beneath her. She turned slightly to check on Judy but that side of the bed was already empty, Judy knew where her father had slept last night. Lorraine turned back to Ed and threaded her hand through his hair, awakening him gently.
"Ed" She whispered, pressing her lips to his cheek.
"Morning, hon" He muttered back as he wiped the sleep from his eyes.
"Judy's awake, she knows where you slept"
"Well, we're not seventeen anymore and she was in my bed" Lorraine laughed against his cheek.
"Come on, let's get breakfast" She ordered, pushing away from him to grab her robe off the back of the door, he followed after her. The pair headed downstairs and moved into the kitchen finding Judy and Sam sat at the table.
"Good morning" Lorraine smiled as she and Ed moved to take the two empty seats.
"Mr Warren, I didn't see you when I woke up" Sam commented, Lorraine shot her husband a look.
"Yeah dad, where were you?" Judy challenged, wanting him to say it.
"I couldn't spend a night away from your mother alright" He admitted, holding his hands up defeat "We've been sleeping beside each other since we were seventeen-"
"Eighteen" Lorraine corrected as she made them both a cup of tea.
"Eighteen, slip of the tongue. We've been sleeping beside each other since we were eighteen and being the age that we are now means that we're used to it"
"I was asleep before you woke me up" Lorraine reminded him, earning her a playful glare in response.
"Mom, what was it like dating dad?" Judy asked, placing her elbow on the table before she leant on her palm.
"It was sweet" Lorraine smiled "Your dad and I would sneak into movies and he would walk me home because my father thought that sinning happened in the back of cars" Lorraine smiled fondly at the memory as Ed smiled at his wife.
"I thought that you and dad got creative in the back of his car" Lorraine and Ed choked on their tea.
"You were awake" Judy nodded.
"Mom woke me up when she moved over. I heard everything" Lorraine's blush deepened.
"What your parents did or didn't do is none of your concern" Ed told his daughter.
"I heard you did a lot" Judy smirked as Lorraine blushed again.
"Please forget everything you heard" Lorraine muttered, her blush not easing up.
"I want to hear all about this creativity" Judy teased, making her mother's blush spread.
"Judy!" Her father scolded, earning him a laugh in response.

After breakfast Lorraine and Judy headed upstairs to dress. Judy was stood in front of the mirror, looking herself over in her knee length wedding dress and veil when Lorraine entered the room.
"I remember when you used to play in my closet and try on my shoes" Lorraine smiled as she moved behind her daughter, wrapping her arms around her waist.
"I remember"
"Did it really feel like how I met your dad?" Judy smiled.
"It felt even better"
"I'm happy if you're happy"
"Is dad?" Lorraine shot her a playful look.
"Leave him to me"
"I'm ready" Lorraine spotted her lack of earrings in the mirror.
"I'm missing my earrings, I'll be down in a minute" Judy nodded, grabbing her flowers off the bed before she headed down the staircase to where her father was waiting for her.
"Wow. You look beautiful" Ed smiled, feeling his eyes begin to well with tears.
"Thanks dad" Judy smiled, hugging him tightly.
"Where's your mother?"
"She was busy worrying over me that she forgot her earrings" He nodded.
"She'll always worry over the two of us, it's why we love her" Judy nodded as their eyes turned to the footsteps coming down the stairs, she noticed her dad lose his breath at the sight of his wife.
"Wow" Was the only coherent word that he managed to get out.
"It's good to know that I can still take your breath away" Lorraine smiled.
"Damn right" He smiled, taking her hips in his hands as he kissed her deeply.
"Do you two want a moment?" Judy teased.
"Maybe later" Ed smiled as Lorraine wiped her lipstick off his lips "Now, let's take a walk" Ed held out his arm for Judy to take as Lorraine headed outside. Judy slipped her arm around her father's "Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Dad-"
"I only ask because your grandfather did before your mother married me"
"I'm sure dad" Judy assured him, earning a nod in response.
"Then let's get you married" He smiled, leading her by the arm out into the yard where her future husband was waiting for her.
