It was just another typical day at the Hazbin Hotel. Charlie hummed a cheerful tune, flitting around the lobby, adjusting her decorations, and preparing for her next big event. Her excitement was palpable as she dashed back and forth, her long blonde hair swaying behind her in a beautifully messy ponytail.

Vaggie leaned against the wall, arms crossed and an amused smirk on her face as she watched Charlie's antics. Despite the endless optimism radiating from her girlfriend, Vaggie couldn't shake off the anxious flutter in her stomach. It was a feeling she had grown accustomed to lately—one that was far from excitement.

"Charlie, sweetie, I think you might be getting a bit ahead of yourself with those plans," Vaggie called out, trying to maintain her usual pragmatic demeanor. She felt a protective urge rise within her, knowing that there was something much more important on her mind, something she couldn't reveal.

"Aw, come on, Vaggie! A little excitement never hurt anyone!" Charlie grinned, her eyes sparkling with pure joy. She grabbed a paper with hastily scrawled notes on it, it was just drawings of rainbows

Vaggie chuckled, but her heart raced as she placed a hand on her flat stomach, taking a deep breath. The truth of her pregnancy loomed over her like a heavy cloud, suffocating and inescapable. She glanced at Charlie, who was blissfully unaware, caught up in her idealistic dreams of a better world for sinners.

As if on cue, a flash of dramatic flair swept through the lobby. Lucifer appeared, his presence both commanding and whimsical, as he made his entrance with a flourish. His slender figure and vibrant features made him stand out, and despite being the ruler of Hell, there was something endearing about his over-the-top demeanor.

"Darling Charlie! How lovely it is to see you!" he exclaimed, bending slightly at the waist in a mock bow. "And my dear Vaggie! I trust you're keeping my daughter out of trouble?"

Vaggie's smile was strained, but she managed to nod. "Of course, Lucifer. Always." She tried to maintain her composure, aware that every second spent with Lucifer brought the risk of her secret slipping out.

Charlie beamed at her father, unfazed by the intensity of his gaze. "Lucifer! You won't believe what I'm planning for the hotel! It's going to be amazing!" She practically bounced with excitement, her enthusiasm filling the room.

"Pray tell!" Lucifer leaned closer, intrigue dancing in his eyes. "Do you have your unicorns and dolphins all set? Or are you still working on that?"

As Charlie animatedly described her plans, Vaggie felt her stomach twist uncomfortably. She turned slightly, attempting to subtly shift her weight to ease the nausea that had been plaguing her for days. She didn't want anyone to know—not even Charlie. She was terrified of what it would mean for them, for the hotel, for everything they had worked for.

Lucifer's eyes, sharp and perceptive, flickered over to Vaggie. "You look a bit pale, dear. Are you feeling alright?"

Vaggie forced a smile, her heart racing. "Just a little tired, that's all."

Lucifer's concern didn't dissipate, but he turned his attention back to Charlie, who was animatedly detailing her latest idea for a redemption event. The more Charlie spoke, the more Vaggie felt her resolve strengthen. She would keep her secret, no matter what.

But as the day wore on, Vaggie couldn't shake the feeling that the truth would eventually come to light. She needed to find a way to tell Charlie about the baby, but the words were stuck in her throat, trapped by fear and uncertainty.

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the hotel's lobby, Vaggie watched Charlie and Lucifer laughing together, and for a moment, the weight of her secret felt lighter.

"Vaggie!" Charlie called, pulling her back to the present. "Come join us! We were just talking about how we can make the hotel even more fabulous!"

Vaggie forced a smile, stepping forward to join them. "Alright, but only if you promise to let me help with the planning," she said, determined to keep her mind off her burden.

With a cheerful nod, Charlie turned back to Lucifer, leaving Vaggie to contemplate how long she could keep her secret. The warmth of their laughter enveloped her, a temporary reprieve from the storm brewing within her.

But deep down, Vaggie knew the truth couldn't stay hidden forever.
