The following days passed in a blur of preparations and unexpected interactions at the hotel. Vaggie continued to keep her pregnancy a secret, but the physical signs were becoming harder to hide. Her clothes were starting to feel a bit tighter, and the occasional moment of fatigue would wash over her, making her wonder how long she could keep up the façade.

One afternoon, while the hotel bustled with activity, Vaggie found herself in the kitchen, helping Niffty prepare snacks for the upcoming event. Charlie was preoccupied with the decorations in the main hall, leaving Vaggie to navigate the chaotic atmosphere on her own.

"Hey, Vaggie! You okay?" Angel Dust called from the doorway, leaning casually against the frame, his trademark smirk plastered across his face.

"Yeah, just helping out," Vaggie replied, trying to sound cheerful despite the tension brewing within her.

As Angel Dust sauntered into the kitchen, Vaggie couldn't help but feel a mix of anxiety and discomfort. The way he moved with confidence made her acutely aware of her own self-consciousness. She could feel his eyes lingering on her for a moment too long, and she tried to distract herself by focusing on Niffty's chatter.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Angel Dust pressed, stepping closer, his eyes narrowing slightly as he studied her.

"Of course! Just busy," Vaggie insisted, forcing a smile as she adjusted her shirt, trying to hide her growing belly.

But Angel Dust was perceptive. He stepped even closer, tilting his head as he scrutinized her. "Vaggie, is there something you're not telling me?"

Her heart raced. "No, really. I'm fine!" she replied a bit too quickly, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks.

"C'mon, I know when someone's hiding something," he said, crossing his arms. "You've got that whole 'I'm-a-mother-hen' vibe going on."

Vaggie felt her pulse quicken. "That's just how I am, okay? I care about everyone here!" She shifted uncomfortably, trying to maintain her composure.

Angel Dust's gaze shifted downward, and he raised an eyebrow, his expression shifting from playful to concerned. "Wait a minute... are you...?"

"What? No! I—" Vaggie stammered, panic setting in as she instinctively placed a hand over her belly, realizing too late that the gesture gave everything away.

His eyes widened in realization. "Oh shit- Vaggie, you're pregnant!"

"Shush!" she hissed, glancing around to make sure no one else was listening. "You can't just shout that out!"

Angel Dust smirked, leaning back slightly. "Well, I mean, you weren't exactly hiding it very well. You've got a little bump going on there," he teased, pointing at her stomach with a playful grin.

Vaggie felt her face burn with embarrassment, but there was also a flicker of frustration. "This isn't funny, Angel! I don't want anyone to know yet!"

"Relax, I won't spill the beans—at least not yet," he said, his tone turning serious. "But you should tell Charlie. It's not good to keep secrets like this, especially with everything going on."

"I know, I just..." Vaggie sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I don't want to stress her out. She's already got so much on her plate."

"Trust me, keeping it a secret is more stressful," Angel Dust replied, his voice gentle now. "If you're having a boy, that's great news! She'll be happy once she knows. You know how much she loves Angelita."

Vaggie felt a pang of doubt. "But what if she feels overwhelmed? We just got used to being a family of three."

"Families grow. That's part of it!" Angel Dust said, a grin returning to his face. "And besides, little boys are a handful but also a ton of fun. Just look at me!"

Vaggie couldn't help but chuckle despite herself. "You're ridiculous."

"Yeah, but I'm also right," he shot back, a wink punctuating his statement.

Just then, Charlie entered the kitchen, her eyes lighting up as she spotted the snacks being prepared. "Hey, what's going on in here?"

"Just a little chit-chat!" Angel Dust replied, flashing his brightest smile.

Vaggie quickly straightened up, trying to mask her unease. "Yeah, nothing to worry about!"

Charlie's gaze darted between them, her brows furrowing slightly as she sensed the tension. "Are you sure? You both look a little... shifty."

"We're just having fun!" Angel Dust chirped, causing Vaggie to roll her eyes.
