The air in the room was thick with tension as Charlie held Vaggie in her arms, the weight of their conversation still pressing heavily on them both. Vaggie's heart pounded, her body trembling slightly as she tried to steady her breathing. She couldn't keep the secret any longer—the fear, the guilt, and the need for Charlie's support were eating away at her.

As Charlie's arms wrapped around her, Vaggie felt the love in her embrace, the unwavering care that had always drawn her to her girlfriend. But at the same time, the fear of losing that love gnawed at her. What if Charlie didn't take the news well? What if this changed everything between them?

Charlie pulled back slightly, searching Vaggie's face with concern. "Vaggie, I'm here for you. No matter what it is. You can tell me."

Vaggie's breath hitched as she met Charlie's gaze. She saw the sincerity, the love, and the patience, but the words still stuck in her throat. Her hands instinctively moved to her stomach, resting there for a moment before she whispered, "Charlie... I'm pregnant."

The words hung in the air, echoing around them like a thunderclap. For a moment, Charlie didn't react, her expression frozen in shock as she processed what Vaggie had just said.

"Pregnant?" Charlie repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. Her wide eyes darted down to Vaggie's stomach and back to her face, searching for any sign that she had misunderstood.

Vaggie nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. "I didn't know how to tell you. I've been so scared... scared of how you'd react. Scared of what this means for us."

Charlie blinked, still trying to comprehend the revelation. "Pregnant..." she whispered again, more to herself than to Vaggie. Her hands moved instinctively to Vaggie's stomach, gently resting on the spot where life was growing. "How long have you known?"

"4... months," Vaggie said, her voice trembling. "I didn't tell anyone. Not even you. I didn't want to burden you with it. I didn't know how you'd feel... about it. About me."

Charlie's face softened, her shock slowly giving way to understanding. She looked into Vaggie's eyes, the intensity of her emotions swirling within her. "Vaggie, you're not a burden. You could never be a burden."

Vaggie swallowed hard, the tears spilling over now as she let out a shaky breath. "I've been so scared of everything changing. I don't know what to do. I didn't want to lose you."

Charlie's heart broke at the sight of Vaggie's vulnerability, and she pulled her girlfriend into a tight embrace, holding her close. "You're not going to lose me," Charlie whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I love you, Vaggie. No matter what."

Vaggie clung to Charlie, relief and fear warring within her. "I was so afraid you wouldn't want this... that you wouldn't want me anymore."

Charlie shook her head firmly, pulling back just enough to look Vaggie in the eyes. "I love you, and I want us to face this together. I know it's scary, but you don't have to do this alone."

Vaggie sniffled, wiping at her tears. "But what about the hotel? Your dreams? What if this changes everything?"

Charlie smiled softly, her fingers gently brushing through Vaggie's hair. "We'll figure it out. Together. This doesn't have to change who we are or what we want to build here. It just means... we have more to look forward to. More love to give."

Vaggie's heart swelled with emotion, her fears slowly easing as Charlie's words wrapped around her like a warm blanket. "You really mean that?"

Charlie nodded, her eyes filled with determination. "Absolutely. I'm not going anywhere, Vaggie. We'll face this together, no matter what."

A tearful smile spread across Vaggie's face, the weight of the secret she had carried for so long finally lifting from her shoulders. She had feared that telling Charlie would push her away, but instead, it had brought them closer together. For the first time in weeks, Vaggie felt a sense of peace wash over her.

"I love you, Charlie," Vaggie whispered, leaning in to kiss her softly.

Charlie smiled against her lips, holding her close. "I love you too. And I'm here, every step of the way."

As they sat together, wrapped in each other's arms, Vaggie knew that things wouldn't be easy. But with Charlie by her side, she felt a new sense of hope. They could face the future, no matter what it held, together.
