The Beginning

Thank you for reading and doing whatever you are doing, I do not own the writing(because it is my friend's and I got permission from her to publish it) or the characters because neither of us are J.C. Cervantes or Rick Riordan.

I'm not being narcissistic when I say good job and comment a lot on this, I'm just doing it for my friend.

"TRAITOR-"

Hi I'm Percy Jackson. You're probably wondering how it got to this point and to be honest, I have no idea. So let's start from the beginning of this chaos. It all started on the last day of camp Half-Blood, I was packing up my stuff in the Poseidon cabin when all of a sudden my girlfriend Annabeth came in.

"Percy, Chiron has called for a meeting in the Amphitheater," Annabeth said. It sounded like there was a hint of urgency in her voice.

"Just give me a minute to double check this place, Wise Girl," I responded. Hopefully I miss heard the urgency in her voice.

"He means right now Percy. Something is going on, something bad." She responded. Okay now there was a lot of urgency in her voice, this was not good at all.

"I'm ready then," I responded, trying to keep my cool. Whatever Chiron wanted to say it wasn't going to be good. Something dire (I cannot believe I just said that) and horrible must've been going on. Once we made it to the amphitheater Chiron was already there along with Rachel standing next to him.

"Please take a seat you two" Chiron pointed us to a spot in between our friends Jason and Nico. Both of them had a tense look on their faces. I have absolutely no idea what is going on.

"I'm sure most of you would like to know why you have to sleep with the cabin lights on and why some campers have gone missing." Chiron spoke calmly. He was trying to keep us calm and make us feel safe. Now that I think about it, I hadn't seen some campers around recently. I just assumed they went home early. To be honest I didn't mind sleeping with the lights on, it gave me a reason to stay up later.

"The reason you have had to sleep with the lights on is because of an old being who has come back after many millenia. Who is associated with shadow and darkness. He is also a part of them which means he can appear anywhere there are shadows and he can control them." Chiron dropped the bomb. I looked over to my right and I saw that Clarisse looked pretty shaken, I didn't see her sibling... what's her name again? Oh that's right Julia, yeah Julia wasn't sitting next to her which was surprising since everybody called her Clarisse's right hand. As I looked around I noticed Julia wasn't the only one missing, there were more people missing from the amphitheater seats.

"So I would like you all to be very careful if you are returning to the mortal world. I would also like it if you would hear the next prophecy that Rachel recited earlier." Chiron gestured towards Rachel who was standing next to him. She looked stressed, I couldn't blame her. It was a big responsibility to be the Oracle of Delphi. Suddenly she pulled out a can of monster and chugged the whole thing within seconds(How she chugged all that caffeine I have no idea). Then her eyes turned green and a green mist started to surround her and everyone else here.

"Two worlds that clash and fight must come to peace

Heroes once unknown to each other now friends

The "Heroes" release will lead to a demise

The one who lies but never seems shall be the key to victory

The gift given between lovers was a prison in disguise

Needed to be retrieved after a curses demise
