We stopped at a small, unassuming shop, its facade adorned with a simple sign:
"ARCANE WEAVINGS."
“Alright, Lucas, this is where we get our equipments from, his name is Old Fradd" Kaito said, gesturing towards the shop. "He’s a good guy. He'll take care of you."
We entered the shop, and the air filled with the scent of incense and the hum of magical energy. Behind a counter, a man with a long, white beard and a twinkling eye greeted us.
Old Fradd: “It’s good to see you again Kaito. It's been awhile since you last stopped by,” he said, his voice a raspy sound. “I see you've made a new friend also?”
Kaito: (Scratches head) Yeah you could say that. This is Lucas, and he has a little issue with his system, he's a new awakened.”
Kaito introduced me to the man, explaining my problem to him.
“Ah! I see, a special one. I’ve got the perfect thing for you,” the man said, his voice full of excitement. “It’s a cloaking charm. It’s made with rare materials, specially crafted by myself to mask the System and alter anything you want to. I've been working on it for sometime now, and haven't been able to try it out on another person, since I don't know who to trust with such important secret.”
He showed me the charm, a small, silver pendant shaped like a flower.
“It's expensive, 10 Gold coins.” he said, his eyes twinkling. “But it's worth every bit of it.”
I hesitated, my heart pounding. It was expensive, but I knew I needed it. I needed to stay under the radar, to keep my skills secret.
“Alright, I’ll take it,” I said, my voice firm.
I thought of giving him the gold gem but that was way beyond his pay, so instead i handed over one of the blue gemstones I had acquired. His eyes went wide as he knew the actual value of it, but I didn't mind.
“This is too much, I can't accept it,” he tries giving it back bug I insisted he took it in him.
After several failed tries, I had an idea. “Do you have an Identifier?”
“Yes I do, and it costs 200 silver coins” he said.
“Good I'll be taking one of it and the pendant, now you must not give me back the leftover coins. It is yours to keep”
“Well, that sounds more better” Old man Fradd says, dropping the pendant on the countertop as he walk off to bring the device.
I took the pendant and wore it around my neck, and an Interface appeared
[Choose the Item you want to hide: NAME /HP / MP / ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / EQUIPMENT]
I tapped on skills and another interface appeared again with my two skills
[Choose skill: Phoenix Rising/ King's Command]
I thought about it for a few minutes and decided to hide my unique skill instead of the rare one, as compared to a unique skill, a rare skill was nothing. So it won't bring in much attention.
And so, I tapped on Phoenix Rising and it disappeared, but I could still feel it in my interface. I showed it to the others and they nodded at it.
“(sighs) Thank God it works. Thank you old Fradd.” I said happily. I was finally able to breathe properly again and I wasn't paranoid anymore, as there's no way anyone would be able to see it.
