Aemond
H e dodged the hit and twirled around, his sword at the ready as it parred and attacked following his movements like a dance. Last time they had dueled it had not been such a challenge and it brought a deranged smile to his face to finally be able to actually work for his victory.
His opponent twirled around in a way much similar to his, but still different than what he was used to, as he had added to what he had learned during his first years of training to the new layers of training he had received elsewhere.
The next hit almost struck true.
"Getting sloppy are we, brother?" Daeron probed as they came closer again, their swords in between them. Aemond leaned his head back and laughed.
"Don't get cocky, little brother," he warned with a twirl, knocking the sword off his hand and kicking him in the abdomen to push him on his rear.
Daeron panted and looked up at him with a smile on his full lips — lips he had inherited from their mother — his light lilac eyes sparkling. Between all of them Daeron resembled their mother more in height and appearance though he had inherited the Targaryen colouring. He had her nose and her chin, as well as her lips and the same cut of eyes.
His silver hair were more golden than silver, and when the light was darker his eyes seemed almost purple-green instead than lilac.
Aemond smiled as well, fully reinvigorated by their verbal and physical spar. Aegon and Cole who had been observing with part of the court came closer as Aemond helped Daeron to his feet before messing his short hair up.
"You've gotten better, jenigon " he commented and Daeron preened at that, his smile blinding.
Daeron had inherited also their mother's easy smile. It was the feature in him Aemond liked best. Aegon had inherited their mother's glare but Daeron had her smile.
"One day I am going to beat you, rōva lēika " he promised and Aemond pressed their foreheads together before patting his shoulder.
"Not yet" he replied in good spirit feeling the elation fill his body. He was usually stormy and serious, but Daeron brought the playfulness out of him, he handed him back the two training swords "Go put them back in their brakes" he told him quietly and Daeron went willingly and with a goofy grin.
Aegon came to his side then "Has he always been that tall?" he questioned sharply.
Aegon was the oldest and yet Aemond had become taller than him as soon as puberty had hit, and Daeron looked to be on the same route.
