DAISY

The gala has ended and everyone is starting to leave for the rooftop after party that Olivier rousteing is attending to. Tamara being Tamara swore that she will never forgive herself if she doesn't attend a party that the 'one and only Olivier rousteing is going to'. Relatable.

Tamara begged me to go to the party with her but I just used the usual excuse that I'm not feel well.

I call back the same driver that dropped me off. He told me that a few issues occurred on the road that's causing a lot of traffic, he suggested I get a taxi or I can wait for him which will take half an hour.

I walk inside the lobby and prepare to wait half an hour.
The outside is already empty. A few people going into their cars and driving off to the after party. I have no idea where Nancy went. After what happened, I haven't seen her at the gala. She was probably too ashamed to come back in.

'Do you have a ride?' I don't turn my head around. Knowing exactly who is behind me.
'It will arrive shortly' I tap my hand on the leather arm chair that I'm slouched on.
'How long?'
'Thirty minutes'
'Come, I'll take you wherever you want to go'
'I have a ride' I reject his offer.
'I know you do, but the doors will close in half an hour and you don't want to be thrown out'
'What a coincidence, since my ride will be here in half an hour anyway'
'You don't know that'
I turn my head around. Rolling my eyes at how persistent he is. 'I don't think it's a good idea anyway'
'Probably, but I'm not letting you wait outside in the cold'
I sigh, shaking my head. 'I will get a cab' I take out my phone from my bag, typing on the Uber app.

My phone gets snatched from my hand but I don't flinch. I'm not surprised by his actions anymore. 'You're not going by a cab and you are not waiting for your ride. I will take you, come on'
I decide not to argue, so I agree to let him take me home.

Once we step outside I'm hit with an icy breeze.

Fuck. It's more colder than I thought it would've been.
Goosebumps raise all over my arm and legs. Jax is beside me, typing away on his phone, which I'm guessing is to get the driver here.
'How long is it going to take?' I ask impatiently. I'm freezing. 'Here' he takes off his blazer and puts it around my shoulder. I bite on my bottom lip, trying to keep my head straight and ignore the impulsive beating of my heart. 'Come on, the car is here' he puts a hand on my back and leads me to the sleek black shiny rolls Royce that just pulled up Infront of the red carpet.
I walk down with him and go inside the car. Thank god it's warm inside.

.....

OPEN the song now!

Only a few minutes until I'm home. If I don't make eye contact I'll be fine.
I can feel jax's stare burn into my face. He's sitting next to me but he hasn't dared to speak or touch me, as he should. I'm on a whirlwind of emotions today and I don't need him to talk any sense to me.

'I'm married'

Going back to what he confessed, I have so many questions. I think the biggest question is; why?

Why did he not tell me when he was at my apartments rooftop?

I'm failing to understand everything he's said to me.

'How long have you been married for?' I spit out.
I told myself I wouldn't talk but I can't help it. I need my answers.

It's dead silent. The only noise is the traffic from the outside. I don't look at him. I don't want to. I'm scared if I do he might see the hurt in my eyes.
