Chapter 1: CEO

Daisy's POV:

6 years later:

I rush around my office, trying to find any files that would be good enough to captivate our next investors...well hopefully they will be.
My company has an investor meeting, and this meeting either makes or breaks my company.
The other company we will have a meeting with is one of the biggest investors that we have been trying to captivate for years!

Two years to be exact. But they are always uninterested in our offer. This year has been our lucky year, they have finally agreed to take upon our offer and come for a meeting. Of course it's not for sure if they will work with us but this is why we have a meeting, so I can prove to them we are a company worth to work for.

Four years ago, I graduated from law school. However I didn't end up with a law career, instead I ended up working in the fashion industry. My career focuses on heels. High heels. The most finest in the country.

We have been at the top of our game since last year, after Princess Kate was seen wearing our last years classic infinity heels. Our sale rates have gone up by hundred after that.

My job is to manage the rates and find as many companies I can that will invest in our business.
Today is the day I summon the most important corporation to invest in our business.
The J&A corporation

God. The day this company decides to invest in our company is the day I will retire for good!

Just kidding. No but seriously, we have been trying to get this company to invest in our company for two whole years!! Even the smallest mistake can blow everything off. I can't risk it. I must do good!

'Tamara have you made sure there is champagne, water, and organic juice in the meeting room?'
I walk in a fast pace towards our office entrance to greet our guests.
'Yes, I made sure that your board, drinks, food, and pens are all there'
I thank her whilst she walks behind me.
Tamara is my assistant and she makes sure everything is up to all good when I have an important meeting, and this meeting is by far the most important yet, so she knows not to make any mistakes.

'They will be here in about five minutes, tamara can you go check if everything is all there in the meeting room?'
Tamara nods and walks away to the meeting room, I check my watch to count the seconds they will be here.
I've heard of this corporation and know how prestigious they can be, especially how hard it can be to have them invest in your company, they only want the best and only the best is what's been said in magazines.

However, the CEO of the company is still unknown, their company has been on many magazines, including Forbes, yet the CEO stays a mystery. Maybe they don't like the attention and fame. Who knows?
But today it's my lucky day to encounter the CEO of the greatest company known worldwide!
Biggest company corporate in America and Canada!

There's only a minute till the company arrives and I'm sweating from head to toe, my heels feel like they can snap any minute from the stress weight I'm putting onto myself.

Tamara rushes back and stands beside me, I stay straight waiting for the elevator door to open any minute now.
'I checked everything in the room and everything is good and ready to go'
Tamara reassures me.

The elevator door opens and two men dressed in black which I'm guessing is the security guard of the CEO, step inside before a tall man with shades covering his eyes steps inside too. The guy was wearing all black tuxedo, looking crispier and finer than most CEO's I've seen come into This office.

One thing I notice about this guy is that he's very young, almost my age...maybe older.
And considering the tattoos that are going up to his neck I would never consider him to be the CEO of this prestigious company I'm about to persuade. More like a mafia leader.
Ironic isn't it?
