Ocean's call

A tranquil dawn, so calm and clean,
No sounds, but waves as gentle as a breeze.
A tranquil sea so vast and deep,
We've left her care in hands unrighteous.

Pollution, choking, and decay,
Disdain, corruption, everyday,
We take and take in selfish bliss,
Ignoring her quiet oceans' plea.

She cries out for help, her calls ignored,
a silent scream of sorrow and despair.
We turn away, too stubborn to mend,
Her ocean soul we don't even care.

A storm is brewing within the sea,
A wave of anger, rising high.
The power of the currents, pushing forward
In the fight for survival, never to die.

The water swirls and churns,
Its fury growing, becoming more
And it screams out for help and relief
But is there anyone to spare a plea?

The ocean's cry, ignored, unheard
As the pollution chokes and kills
Its spirit so broken, its hope so faint
The ocean cries once more, for us to listen and change our ways.
