City of shadows

In the heart where the city hums,
Concrete towers, a rhythm that drums,
Neon lights flicker, a vibrant glow,
Dreams and secrets in the ebb and flow.

Sidewalks whisper with stories untold,
Of wanderers searching for warmth in the cold,
Voices blend in a symphony loud,
Life pulses deep beneath the proud.

Alleyways cradle the lost and the found,
Echoes of laughter and heartbeats abound,
In crowded cafes, hearts intertwine,
Strangers connect over sips of wine.

Yet in the shadows, a silence remains,
Beneath the glamour, the struggles and strains,
For in every heartbeat, in every sigh,
Lies a tapestry woven of hope and goodbye.

The city breathes, both fierce and kind,
A maze of dreams where the weary unwind,
In this urban dance, we rise and we fall,
Together we stand, together we call.
