Chapter 8:
Leah:
Ellie and I were now back to or should I say starting our colouring, with some light chatter with the odd singing sentence if one of us like the song that was playing.
I am having a really nice time, getting to know Ellie, it's not often you get to know the new signing this quickly especially when the season is approaching but we do have a 4 day pre season tour in 2 days from the 9th - 13th September so we're back from LA 9 days before the season starts on the 22nd.
The buzzer went and Ellie picked up the apartment phone and it was the pizza man with our Pizza
"Okay I'll be right down, thank you" she said and put the phone back on the wall
"I'll be back Leah! Just grabbing the pizza" she softly yelled
"I'll come wait!" I said and slipped on a pair of slippers which I think are Viv's "can't have anything happening to you now can I"
She shut the door and we began to walk down the 11 flights of stairs
"What as a friend or as the captain of the team?" She asked turning back to look at me for a second as I was a couple step behind her
"Both, but more as a friend"
We got to the bottom of the stairs and I hung back and let her grab the pizza
"Bedankt doei, oh shit sorry, thank you bye!" She said shutting the door to all the apartments placing her hand on her head looking embarrassed
"I am so used to saying thank you bye in Dutch when I get a takeout" she said
"I am sure they didn't care, don't stress" I said
"Right let's take the lift this time!" She said
"There was a lift the whole time!"
"Yes, I just don't like going down them, also have you not been to Viv and Beth's before"
"No I have I just never knew there was a lift and What?" I said furrowing my eyebrows and laughing slightly
"I don't know why, bad luck I guess" she said laughing slightly
"Alright down by stairs, up in an elevator got it."
"Going to remember that in your memory too?" She said referring to how I remember her name
"I might do" I said with a smile
Eleanora:
Leah and I had eaten our pizza's and put any spare pieces in the fridge, we were now feeling rather full and tired, as often when you get concussion you sleep a lot more as it is your brain trying to mend its self after being knocked. It was 12:30 so Beth and Viv wouldn't be back for around another hour, and Lia would t be either to pick Leah back up.
"Want to take a nap?" I said to Leah who looked like she was practically already asleep
"Mhm do you?" She asked trying to open her eyes as much as possible to look over to me
"Yep I love a good nap"
"Me too, most people at Arsenal hate it as apparently i am then impossible to do anything with" she said
"Well come on then" I said indication we go somewhere more comfortable
"Are we not sleeping on the sofa?" She asked slightly confused
"No don't be silly come on we can share the bed, if you don't mind sharing" I said, it was normal for all of us at Ajax to share a bed when napping sometimes we would squeeze four of us on one bed, definitely not the best napping experience.
"No of course not, as long as you don't mind" she said
"Of course not" I said helping her up
We wandered down the small hallway to my temporary room
"Sorry it's not that exciting in here and full of boxes as I am not staying here permanently"
"Please don't worry" Leah said with a smile
"Okay do you have a preference on sides?" I asked and she looked at me like what a strange question
"You really have thought a lot about this?"
"No it was just what everyone did at Ajax" I said laughing slightly
"Okay I pick left" she said
"Perfect, I like the right side" I said and she took her jacket off which was more like a jumper and hung it on the back of the chair
We both climbed in either side, most people would think it was really awkward but I didn't find it awkward at all
We both drifted off to sleep pretty quickly.
