In skies above, the stars gleam bright and clear,
Similar to diamonds scattered on a velvet sheet,
They twinkle, shimmer, distant and austere,
A cosmic dance that's wondrous and complete.
Each one a tiny beacon in the night,
A guide for lost souls in the dark expanse,
They twinkle with a subtle, gentle luminosity,
A reminder of the universe's grandiose expanse.
They tell the stories of our distant past,
Of worlds and galaxies beyond our reach,
Of mysteries that forever will last,
And lessons that they gently try to teach.
Oh stars above, your beauty knows no end,
In your brilliance, the universe does transcend.
