I was walking while humming the song when I heard someone calling me. I turned back and saw Roshni calling me while running.

She came to me and held my shoulder. She was panting. I rub my hand on her back. "First collect your breath. Roshni, what happened"? I ask her softly.

"Liana, where are you going"? She asked while wiping her sweat with her dupatta.

"Amma was asking where you are going it's going to be dark soon"

"I was just feeling bored, so I came for a walk. I will come before dark. Do you want to come with me"?

"No, I have to prepare food. Come before dark otherwise, Amma will scold me"

"Okay little girl I say and leave her behind"

It's only been four days since I was in my mother's hometown. I just want to visit here to see what the house looks like my mother used to tell me about. Yeah, it's old and not so good. But I love to live here without a phone. In nature. Noticing every move of nature. Village life is good.

My mother died when I was six but her memories are still in my head. Sometimes I feel like she never left me. My neighbours are so good they take care of me like their own daughter. Villagers are kinder than City neighbours. City people don't even know who their neighbours are. Ridiculous!

Since in this village, there is no signal at all. I am sure my dad called me thousands of times in those four days. I am the only world he has!

I glanced at the mt surroundings and saw the beautiful view of sunset. Birds are going to their homes. I feel like it's going to rain. It's okay I have an umbrella. But I am a stupid bitch who loves to dance in the rain I will throw this umbrella off if I want to dance. But I will not because I don't have so many pairs of clothes here, so shut up, Liana, and continue your walk.

I was just roaming and saying hi to the villagers who were passing me. Even though I don't know them, they are still passing smiles to me. Like they have known me since my birth. It's my fourth day of wearing a saree. Anita's Aunt doesn't have so many clothes, so she gives me her saree daily. And make me wear too. She is so good that she sends me food, takes care of me daily, and massages my hair. But she scolds me too when I play with little children.

It's already dark and I know she will scold me. But I love it when she scolds me. My dad never scolded me. Never say no to me about anything. He never forgets me. Even in his busy schedule, he makes time for me so we can spend time together. But he is in France, and I am in India, far away from him, but I just want to come to India. I am half Indian and half French. My mother was from India, and my dad was from France. Interesting!

I glanced at my hand when I found a drop there. I glanced at the sky and the rain started heavenly. I opened my umbrella and walked a little. I promise I will go back to the Village after a few minutes. I love to walk alone in my thoughts.
