5 years after the war.

Ellie stared at the wall in front of her. She inhaled a deep breath and tried to compose herself. She had gotten into healing because after the war, there were many that had suffered and she did everything that she could to help them.

She even studied with muggle doctors. Because being the wizarding world was to hard for her. Seeing everyone was to hard. But she made it clear to her brother that was would come back and be a healer in the wizarding world and now here she stood, inside of the walls of Hogwarts again.

Professor McGonagall has sent her and owl urging her to come to the school. That she needed to speak to her about something urgent. Ellie chewed on her bottom lip as she turned toward the griffin. Her eyes narrowed as she stared at it.

She shook her head and headed up the stairs.

Whatever this is about you can always say no. You don't have to agree to anything that Minnie asks you to do. She thought repeatedly to herself. She neared the door. Voices filled her ears and her heart instantly stopped.

One voice in particular had her knees buckling. She inhaled a deep breath and blew it out before she raised her fist and lightly knocked on the door.

She waited, her heart pounding in her ears. The door swung open by itself and Ellie's lips parted, when her eyes found the owner of the voice.

There Draco Malfoy stood. Ellie swallowed hard when she noticed the look of surprise on his face as he took in the sight of her. His storm colored eyes widened as his feet moved on their own and Ellie's chest heaved heavily.

She wanted to run but she was rooted in place, staring at his lean and muscular form as he moved toward her. His platinum hair no longer held the gel that it had when they were in school and Ellie smiled that the slight curl to it. She tilted her head curiously at the dark crimson button down that he was wearing, he had paired it with a pair of black slacks. Ellie side stepped him as he reached his hand out toward her face.

I'm not falling for that move again! Ellie cleared her throat and turned her attention to Minerva and forced a tight smile.

"Hello Minnie. I got your owl." Mcgonagall smiled softly and shook her head that the nickname.

"Miss. Potter. Its wonderful to see you again. I was hoping to discuss something with you and Mr. Malfoy together." Ellie's heart skipped a beat as she looked over her shoulder at Draco. Who was standing there staring at her like she would disappear at any moment.

Ellie inhaled a steady breath and sat down slowly in a chair across the desk. McGonagall smiled brightly and waved Draco over. Ellie kept her eyes away from him. He was dangerous to look at.

"What did you need from us Professor?" Ellie's face flushed at the sound of his voice so close to her. She turned away from him. The last thing that she needed was for him to know that his voice had an affect of her.

She fidgeted with the ring that she wore around her middle finger on her left hand. McGonagall arched an eyebrow at her knowingly.

"If I'm not mistaken the two of you were friends while you attended Hogwarts?" Ellie's mouth fell open and she turned to Draco in shock. But he gave nothing away.

Ellie looked down at the ring on her middle finger as she began to fidget with it. McGonagall inhales a deep breath and arched an eyebrow at them.

"As you know the Ministry is trying to arrange marriages to get the wizard population back up." Ellie's eyes narrowed suspiciously.

"What does that have to do with me?" Draco cuts his eyes toward her and he shook his head.

"The Ministry wants us to marry?" The air left Ellie's lungs as she turned her attention to him and then back to Minnie.

"Your joking." McGonagall frowned and clasped her hands together.

"I'm afraid that I am not joking. The Ministry has decided to let me handle the situation and I know that this is no ideal for either of you. And I am sorry." Ellie's eyebrows drew together and then she gasped as a burning sensation seered into her wrist. Her gaze snapped down to her wrist.

Horror filled her eyes as she watched the rune symbols darken on her pale skin. She inhaled a shaky breath and her green eyes lifted to meet Draco.

But again his face gave nothing away and that alone made her furious. Tears threatened to spill from Ellie's eyes and she shook her head violently.

"I have to go." Ellie stood and rushed out of the room. This wasn't happening! This cant be happening! Ellie sniffled and cleared her throat. Her thoughts roamed back to her sixth year and the moment that she knew would shift her whole world upside down.
