Draco stared at Ellie as her nose scrunched. He smirked as she continued writing down notes from the book that she was reading.
Over the last week he had learned several same things about Ellie. She studied harder than Granger and she did indeed ramble when she talked about something that she liked.
But, Draco had, had to stop her several times from picking at her fingers. But if she wasn't picking at her fingers. She was playing with his rings. Not that he minded. Her hands were warm and soft.
He liked when she held his hand. Even if it was to just play with his rings.
"You're staring at me. I can feel it. Why are you staring at me?" Ellie lifted her head to meet Draco's gaze from across the table.
"Do you know that your nose scrunches when you are focused to hard on something?" Ellie blushed and looked back down at the papers in front of her.
"Are you going to keep pointing out things that you notice about me? Its something new every time that we are working on this project." She muttered most;ly to herself. Draco huffed a small laugh and shrugged his shoulders.
"Its just interesting. Most people don't show their emotions on their face like you do." Ellie let out a clipped sigh and gives Draco a pointed look.
"Everyone does. People just don't pay that close attention." Draco smirked and glanced down at his own books. He wasn't ashamed that he had been watching her. She was amusing and she was easy to tease.
"I thought that you would be terrible at potions. But you arent." Ellie rolled her eyes and peeked up at him. But he was still looking down at the book.
Ellie watched him closely and realized that this was probably the most relaxed that she had ever seen Draco. Even when he was with his friends. She knew better than to ask him about it. Because, well he was Draco Malfoy.
And she had seen him angry and she didn't want to deal with him angry. Because her own temper would get the better of her and she knew how she got when she was angry.
"It looks like if we add a charm to the potion it would enhance the reaction time as well." Ellie leaned over the table to get a closer look at what he was reading and she smiled bright;y.
"That's amazing. Adding the extra ingredients and wit the charm. The reaction time would speed up and the potion would be more effective and heal a larger scale wound than just a surface wound." Draco inhaled a sharp breath at her closeness to him.
The scent of chocolate and lemon invaded his senses making it difficult for him to think clearly. He cleared his throat and looked away from her. A blush dusted Ellie's cheeks as she sat back down in her chair.
"Sorry. I got a bit ahead of myself." She mumbled softly. Draco head snapped back toward her and he mentally cursed. He didn't want her to be sorry! He hadnt meant to embarrass her at all.
"You have nothing to apologize for little wolf." Ellie's heart skipped a beat at the nick name. She gave him a curious smile and tilted her head.
"Little Wolf? Why that nick name?" Draco cleared his throat and set a little straighter. He hadn't meant to say the last part out loud. But that was what he had been calling her in his head for the last three days. He shrugged lightly.
"I don't know. It just suits you." Ellie looked down at her book so that Draco couldn't see her smile.
He's rather smooth when he wanted to be.
"RED!!" Ellie flinched as Fred's voice echoed through the library. Draco arched an eyebrow at her.
"What does Weasley want with you?" Ellie gave him a guilty smile and stood from her chair before snatching Draco from his own and dragging him further into the library with her. Draco chuckled softly and shook his head.
"Lupin what did you do?" Ellie glanced over her shoulder at him and several feet behind him a very angry Fred with platinum blonde hair. Ellie snickered and pulled Draco into a dark corner. Her back pressed to his chest as she peeked out to make sure that Fred wasn't coming their way.
"I dyed Fredrick's hair the color of yours." She whispered. Draco sputtered out a laugh and leaned down closer to her. She shivered as his breath hit her ear.
"And why would you do that?" Ellie turned her head, and her heart hammered against her rib cage. Draco's face was inches from hers and her eyes kept flickering down to his mouth, which was slowly curling into a smile.
"Because he-" Ellie bit down on her bottom lip. How was she supposed to tell him that she had one it because Fred was talking bad about Malfoy.
She wasn't supposed to like him. But the more time that Ellie spent with him. In his calming presences, she enjoyed his company.
"He annoyed me, and I know that you annoy him. So, I went with your hair color." Draco snorted and his arm braced himself against the wall across from Ellie. Making her very aware of how close they actually were.
