The Beginning of Sixth year.
Ellie giggled uncontrollably as Hermione groaned and threw her hands up in the air.
"Do not cry to me if you fall from there!" Ellie smiled as she continued to walk along the top of the six-foot cobblestone wall. Ellie glanced down at Hermione a mischievous grin plastered on her face as she faked slipping.
Hermione gasped and reached for her wand as Ellie straightened and laughed again. Hermione groaned and rolled her eyes. She couldn't understand how Ellie had been so carefree about everything, especially with everything that was going on around them.
A piece of the cobblestone crumbled from under Ellie's foot. She yelped in surprise as she toppled over the other side away from Hermione. Ellie squeezed her eyes shut and braced for impact. But, it suddenly felt like she was floating and then a pair of strong arms caught her, one under her knees and the other around her back.
Her eyes instantly shot up and she was staring up at a pair of stormy gray irises. A smug smirk curled on his lips as he stared down at her.
"Falling for me already Lupin?" A blush dusted Ellie's cheeks as she shook her head, Draco chuckled lightly and helped her to her feet.
"Malfoy you know that my last name is Potter." She countered annoyed that he was the only one that still called her by her godfather's last name and not Potter like her brother. Theo stood off to the side and snorted.
"Why would we call you Potter?" Ellie rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"Because I am a potter." Draco frowned and rolled his eyes.
"You're welcome by the way." Ellie tilted her head at him almost if she was confused,
"I'm not thanking you for being a decent person, this one time." She shot back before turning on her heels and running away from them.
Ellie didn't bother to stop and grab Hermione. She just moved passed her. Her heart racing and her face felt hot.
Well that was embarrassing and there was no doubt that Harry would be pissed when he found out what happened. He hated Malfoy.
Ellie shook her head again and dug around in her bag until she found her phone and groaned remembering that it was going to be completely pointless to try and get a hold of her Dads because muggle things didn't work at Hogwarts.
She shoved her phone back into her bag and moved toward the Gryffindor tower. Maybe she could just hide out there and no one would come looking for her.
Ellie bumped into something solid. A small gasp escaped her.
"I am so sorry!" She rushed out as she looked up and her face flushed again and her eyes widened as she stared up at Lorenzo Berkshire. Enzo smirked down at her, his brown eyes shimmering with mischievous.
"That's alright love." Ellie frowned and shook her head. She should have known that he would be like the rest of the Slytherin. Their cocky, all that attitudes.
"Well, excuse me." Enzo grinned at her as she tried to move around her and he stepped right in her path.
"You're Harry's sister right? Why is that I don't ever see you with your brother?" Ellie's eye twitched and she tried to move around him again.
"Look Berkshire I'm not in the mood to play whatever game you are trying to play. So please just move out of my way." Enzo smirked and tilted his head at her curiously.
"Do I make you nervous Potter?" Ellie growled out a sigh and opened her mouth to snap at him, until a hand reached out and snatched Enzo by his collar pulling him to the side. Ellie's gaze shifted and her heart skipped a beat at the annoyed look on Draco's face as he glared at Enzo.
"Go ahead Lupin. This Sod won't bother you again." Ellie blinked a little surprised at Draco's reaction and she offered him a smile and rushed away from them.
She placed a hand over her racing heart. She tried to will it to slow down.
What has gotten into Draco? That's the second time today that he's come to my rescue?
