Imagine #3 (Newt)

This is for my sister, I felt like being nice since she is also a Newt girl 😉.

The sunset began near to when the doors were closing, and the mad cranking sounds of the maze didn't allow me to feel completely safe in this massive prison cell, but I was able to take a breath in and out, hoping for the best.

I was so mesmerized at the sunset that I didn't notice someone sitting next to me.

"It's beautiful." Newt said simply.

"Yeah, too bad we don't get to see this outside of this shuck maze." I replied scoffing.

"Don't worry one day we will Jessie." Newt said smiling.

He and I have this almost awkward relationship but I completely blame Newt, he can't help but be adorable and awkward.

I turned back towards the sunset and noticed it had gone behind one of the trees in the fields. I stood up and tried to peak over it.

It was surprising how quick beautiful things are gone.

I craned my neck like a giraffe trying to look over the trees, but looked like a complete shuckface by doing so.

I suddenly felt two warm hands on my shoulders trailing down to my sides, then to my waist. My heart rate never increased so quickly.

"Jump" Newt said simply behind me.

"Newt, you can't, your leg, plus I am too..." I managed to say before Newt picked me up and said, "Jessie, are you too shucking heavy? Cause you feel like a feather."

I became quite flustered after that because his hands were gripped tightly around my middle therefore I said, "Newt, you should put me down now."

"Didn't you want to take a peak at that sunset?" Newt asked cheekily.

"Yeah, I saw it now put me down!" I said getting impatient with Newt.

"As you command." Newt said and literally dropped me in midair making me fall down towards the ground.

I was ready to break my fall before I felt warmth all around me.

Newt caught me, quite literally, in his arms.

"What the shuck Newt?" I said awkwardly because, well, he was carrying me dammit.

"You asked for it," Newt said smirking. He stared into my brown eyes as the moment passed.

"May I um..." He started but I didn't let him finish because I already knew what he wanted.

I grabbed his collar and softly pressed my lips against his. He was surprised for a millisecond before returning the favor and kissing me back.

He put me back down on the ground and rested one of his hands on my face as the other made contact with my waist, he was careful, in case I didn't want his hands to be there, but I assured him with a little nod.

I put my hands around his neck after letting go of his collar as he kissed me, lips soft and warm.

We pulled away and he tilted my head back up to see my face.

"It's beautiful." He said again.
