Dear Wes Ball,
I know for sure you have gotten too many of these.
"You suck, the movie was great though."
"You are a genius, but the movie sucked, what is up with that?"
I'm also sure you will never read this, I'm sure of it.
Fangirls like us have no significance in the world for people like you but to make your ego larger, and I'm okay with that.

But I just need to get this off of my chest.
You are an amazing visual artist, heavenly. Your works make me jealous of what I paint. Every detail is spot on and your brain works differently then everyone else's in the best way possible.
Except for one.
There is always that hamartia isn't there...
It is a blessing and a curse.
You believe that The Scorch Trials will be an amazing success. And you were right.
I got us agitated, extremely agitated.
And because of that it was a success. People caught the flare and became real fiery.
Storytelling is important in the film industry I have been told. And your film is the prime example of where storytelling can go tumbling down. As it did.
Don't get me wrong, it was an amazingly visually pleasing movie. But it also was an terribly told amazingly visually pleasing movie.
Being out of the box it great, but what you decided to do there was so far away from the box you are in some sphere of unnatural proportions.
Minho being taken by WICKED? I get James Dasher gave you his blessing, but Minho being taken by WICKED???
That is one of thousands of the quirks of the storytelling of your movie. Along with the fact that you decided it was a FANTASTIC idea to form The Death Star and kill two birds with one stone and knock out the best parts of the second and third book.
But do you know what that leaves you for the third movie?
The worst parts of the second and third book. And do you know where my standards are set out of that one? Lower than this one.
Maybe I should be complaining to you. Maybe I should rage my fiery vengeance on the screenwriters. If so, then screenwriters GET YOUR HEAD TOGETHER MAN!
You will never see this. But frankly I don't care. All I care it that people can just agree and share the message so that other angrily confused people like myself 30 minutes ago can come closer to an epiphany to unlocking their feelings toward The Scorch Trials.
So no, you aren't a terrible person, or a terrible director Wes Ball. You just a tick off from telling the perfect written story.

OMISHUCKINGOD!!!! THIS HAS OVER 1.2k READS WHILE IM WRITING THIS.
*settles into sedimental emotion stage* A few months ago I would have never imagined this to get so many reads, votes and would be noticed by people enough that it would be in their reading list.
