Okay so ya'll have heard about the whole Amandla-Kylie thing right?
And how Amandla 'started' a fight?
*cue the rolling of the eyes*
Okay please explain to me why? First of all Amandla is just protecting her culture. There's nothing wrong with that, so why are people portraying the story like its her fault?
Also to the ignorant people who think this is just about the braids....its not. It's about non-black people taking what's not there's-a culture, a history, the story of us and our ancestors-and treating it like its a style, a costume.
That's the problem not the hairstyle. I mean Kylie is very 'urbanized', as the racist people refer to the appropriation of black culture. But never does she talk about all the things happening to the innocent black people getting killed by police?
Also people are saying that Kylie just a kid, she'll make mistakes yada yada yada. Are they not aware that Amandla is 16 and Kylie is 17? -.-
Don't you know how dumb that sounds, sure a year isn't that big a deal but Kylie is almost 18, almost a legal adult and people are mistaking Amandla as the mature and older one. :/
Come on now people need to stop making excuses for Kylie like she seems like an OK person and I know without a doubt she's made mistakes and she's just learning a few things as she goes but come one at least act as mature as your sister says your are?
Mad if I don't... Mad if I do go hang out w jaden or something
Wise words, am I wrong?
But can we talk about how bomb Amandla is? Like she's super wise beyond her years, aware of her culture history and the people who try and undermine it, beautiful, and intellectual? Like yasss gurl werk!
Anyway no hate to Kylie I love her style and she seems nice but shes not the victim in this situation, never was, never will be. But sending God's guidance and blessings to her.
That is all
Queen out ✌
