Chapter Two

"Question for you, Shorty." spoke up Sicheng in a low soft tone as he locked his eyes onto the female as she came to a stop from dancing. He had come up to the roof, it seemed in the middle of her dance routine and took a seat on the bench as he lit a cigarette and watched her fluid movements. He waited patiently as she switched her position around to sitting cross legged and connected her dark eyes with his, and was glad for the full moon as the moon was the only source of light on the roof.

"Go for it." nodded Yao as she looked at her captain with a relaxed position...she had gotten used to it by now in starting out dancing all alone on the rooftop in the middle of the night. Then upon doing a dance move, bam he was sitting there in a relaxed position on the bench or even sometimes on the grass. She knew others would find it weird...or even creepy but she had never felt that way when it concerned this man. All she had ever felt from him? Was a deep sense of protectiveness and something else but she could not quite name it. All she really did know though with every fiber of her being, even though she had no idea why? Was that this man if he could prevent it, would never harm nor allow harm to befall her.

"How long have you been dancing for?" Sicheng asked after a few minutes of weighing the pros and cons of his question and eyed her as she moved, tilting her head back to look upwards at the stars. He knew she had been dancing when she was 18 but he wanted to know more about the female, especially as he was planning to make her his life partner.

"I have been taking lessons since I was 8 years old, I danced professionally till I was around 18 years old before I stopped and took over my grandfather's assets and investments as he wanted to start training me since his health was beginning to slow down. Since I was in school for my degree as well? I had to give up something, since I was putting too much stress on myself with handling it all." answered Yao in a soft tone as she continued to gaze upwards at the stars not seeing the look that flashed in whiskey amber colored eyes as he regarded her calmly.

"How did you get into ballet? It's quite the change to go from a professional ballet dancer to a professional gamer." added Sicheng as he watched her closely as he noted the brief pain that flickered over her face and wondered who was going to be made to pay for hurting her. He felt dark rage and overprotective at the thought that someone had hurt his Dancing Fairy

"My mother always tried to force things on me since I was her only child and the only one that got away with really telling her off or no, was my grandparents as you probably could tell from meeting her that one night." she paused as she glanced at him and could make out his form from the light of the moon even though some shadows covered his face. She watched closely for any signs that he heard her before she heard his hum of agreement. "Well that all changed when she had my little brother, who is 2 years younger than me, especially when he was old enough to comprehend things. I was no longer wanted really anymore by her or my father really even though they showed different when they had showed up here due to the damn legend of the white snake B.S. My grandparents took me in when I was about 8 years and I sought refuge in my grandmother's passion...ballet. It brought me a sense of belonging and a sense of peace for myself. My grandfather had bought me everything he could on ballet with my grandmother's guidance, not just dance lessons but the music, outfits along with how to take care of sore muscles and feet as well. He was a hard man my grandfather but he loved me. He never cared that I was female and boy was it a shocker when he had informed my mother that her son, my younger brother would never be his heir and that he had chosen me. We are not high class, well not elite like your family or Jin-er's but grandfather was always a smart businessman and had made sure I knew everything he knew and made sure that I would go to school for a degree that would not only make me happy but would also benefit me. If I am careful, I won't have to work if I don't want to but I like working as it gives me a sense of purpose." shared Yao with a soft tone as a brief lost look of pain crossed her face as she spoke of the disregard she had been dealt by her parents.
