Chapter Five

"Jin-er, seriously why exactly do we need over five hours to get ready for a ball." muttered Yao as she stood there staring at her best friend standing in her base.

"Normally I would say all day but I know your tolerance for such things. Come, it will be fun! A spa day before tonight!" grinned Jinyang as she stared at her friend and watched as she signed with an amused look flickering over across her face.

"How about no. I am willing to hang out with you but I will pass on the massage. I don't like nor am I comfortable with strange people touching me. I can barely stand to have people do my hair, nails and make-up." sighed Yao as she shook her head at her spa obsessed best friend and gave her amused look as she pouted at her. "Let me get my purse and sneakers. Furthermore, I already have my look and dress picked out." She warned her JieJie as the female pouted even more as she turned on her heel and walked up the stairs.

"All you have to do is say the word, I will gladly call a training session." offered Sicheng in a low tone as he leaned against her doorway as the others were downstairs and eyed his girl as she cast him a slightly amused soft look at his offer as she gathered her things.

"No, that's okay. One: She just feels needy because we have not had time to spend time together and Two: I would rather not deal with a pouty best friend...besides her being pouty at the fact I will not be wearing anything she has picked out. She means well and has been my best friend for years. Sometimes she can be bit much as the spoiled kid as the youngest in her family, comes out is all." offered Yao softly to the man as she placed her dress and heels that she was going to wear carefully into a bag along with zip-lock bagged make-up to prevent it from accidentally spilling on anything. She stilled though as large warm hands curled around her hips and pulled her back to lean against a very warm well muscled chest before she closed her eyes briefly as a feeling of comfort, safety and actual love seemed to surround her as a pair of warm lips brushed across her neck.

"Don't hesitate in calling or texting me if I need to come and get you. Yes she is your best friend but your comfort matters as well, Beautiful. Don't sacrifice that for the sake of others." rumbled out Sicheng in a low deep tone against her ear, pressing a soft kiss there and enjoyed the shiver that she could not suppose. "By the way don't wear a necklace." He added and ignored her question of why as he pressed another kiss to her neck before he moved away from her before he was tempted to lock them both in her room.

"So, this ball is for your mother's birthday?" inquired Ai Jia as he tugged on his dark pink tie that would match his girl's dress and bemoaned that not fairness in seeing Cheng was dressed in all black...and wondered if the man even had a date for tonight because he knew the male was notorious for going stag to all events, functions and balls with refusing all offers in someone attending with him.
