Chapter Nine

"I know why I am in a mood because of certain best friends but why are you in a mood today, Yue?" asked Yao with a tilt of her head as she walked over to the male as he sighed, glancing at her. She frowned in concern for the male as he looked troubled and worried to her.

"Su Luo, we have been causally seeing one another and now she...well she is wanting to make things sort of official between us both..." Yue muttered softly with a worried look on his face as Yao frowned, looking confused at him. He swallowed a lump of deep emotions that formed in his throat as he was thinking hard as they walked for the coach waiting outside of their base with their backpacks as they had to get to the Arena since they had a game today and ignored his brother who was walking ahead of them a little.

"You both want to be with one another and really do seem to be coming to care deeply for the other. What's wrong with wanting to make it official between you both?" frowned Yao in concern as she placed her hand in Sicheng's offered hand as he offered her to help her onto the coach and paused turning to face the younger Lu.

"She's four years older than me...ouch!" began Yue before he yelped more in shock than pain as he glared some at the female because she swatted him some on the shoulder. He winced though as he saw her scolding and disappointed look aimed at him for his words along with steadfast ignoring the flicker of amusement that crossed his elder brother's face at him bringing their girl's ire down on his head.

"Your brother is five years older than me. Should I not be with him because of that?" she asked with raising her eyebrow not noticing said man was now glaring coldly and full of retribution at his suddenly pale with horror and fearful younger brother.

"No Salt Maiden! Fine, I will speak with her." groaned Yue as he shook his head as she laughed softly at him before getting on the bus but he swallowed hard with some fear as his Ge, glared at him harshly with narrowed eyes. "Open mouth and insert foot Lu Yue! Seriously, you are going to cut your own life short if you keep sticking your foot into it!" thought Yue as he waited till his brother got on the coach before he followed him with a grimace. He swiftly took his own seat and ignored as Ming Shen tossed him an amused look and had a feeling the damn coach had heard what happened outside! He glanced to his Sǎozi as she tugged on his jacket sleeve and eyed her as she gave him a soft understanding look.

"Message her." commented Yao with a soft tone and smile to the male as he looked unsure and sighed softly at him. "Message her, Lu Yue. If you hesitate? You might miss out on something good and wonderful. Take this for example...I almost did not take that step myself because of my past but I still had the courage to take the plunge and now? I am beyond happy and know that I would have regretted not doing so in the first place." she spoke in a low gentle tone to the male as he eyed her with shock on his face. She was so focused on him that she did not notice the flickering whiskey amber eyes that locked onto her form as they processed what she had said before deep softness filled them as the owner of said eyes moved, grabbing her hand and entwined their fingers together, causing her to squeeze them gently.
