I'm desperately holding on to the strings
While you (just) barely seem to touch it,My hold must be too extreme
That I might accidentally, just pull itAway from your hands
And away from my heartYou'll be gone, even before I see you depart
I try to ask whose fault was it,
And it's no one's but oursOurs and time's
We forgot how to put in the effortWhile time slowly tore us apart
We just stood there waiting and watching
Who will be the first to startStart the talks that we left on seen
Start the walks that we left in betweenStart all the things that we planned to do when we were teens
No one intervened,
And we slowly, but surely broke apart all the seams.
