I'm desperately holding on to the strings
While you (just) barely seem to touch it,

My hold must be too extreme
That I might accidentally, just pull it

Away from your hands
And away from my heart

You'll be gone, even before I see you depart

I try to ask whose fault was it,
And it's no one's but ours

Ours and time's
We forgot how to put in the effort

While time slowly tore us apart

We just stood there waiting and watching
Who will be the first to start

Start the talks that we left on seen
Start the walks that we left in between

Start all the things that we planned to do when we were teens

No one intervened,
And we slowly, but surely broke apart all the seams.

No one intervened,And we slowly, but surely broke apart all the seams
