"Do you think we can make her happier than this?"
Yeonjun blinked staring at her, caught off guard by the question. "What do you mean by we?"
"Do you think she'll smile brightly like that to me if I say I am your fiance?" Hyemi specifies, the words leaving her mouth quicker than she expected. Was this the craving for motherly attention making her lose her mind and propose being someone's fiance instead of a professional idea?
He took a deep breath, being careful with his words, "You want to be my fiance?"
"Legally, not romantically of course," she finally looked at him.
Yeonjun bites his lip and nods, "Like, in love, legally?"
"Mhmm"
"You want to prove the paparazzi right?"
"Don't you ask too many questions Mr Choi?" she fires now.
"What are you so curious about my best friend?" Yejin interrupts taking the seat beside him. Without waiting for an answer she turns to Hyemi, "They said he can leave as soon as he wakes up. You should go home, I'll wait for him here,"
"You sure? I wouldn't if it wasn't for the business trip," Hyemi shot an apologetic look hoping her bsf didn't hear any of that conversation. "I didn't even pack,"
"We are going tomorrow night isn't it?" Yeonjun leans back on the chair giving the two girls their space to talk. Yejin nods. She provides a company card to him, adding, "A little perk for being our client. You can splurge with this on the trip," He smiles with a slight bow and accepts it.
"Won't you be coming?" Hyemi asks.
"As his assistant, I guess I'm stuck here," Yejin sighs.
Sure, stuck with him, as you say Hwang Yejin. Hyemi hugs her and makes her way out of the hospital. She senses Yeonjun catching up to her, his quick steps on the reflection of the door in front of her. "Ms Kang!" He calls back. She stops, turning to look at him, as he quickly catches up to the entrance of the hospital. "Did you drive here?"
She nods. "Should I drive you back? Uhm earlier I smelt alcohol I don't know if it was from Ms Hwang or you..."
"Sure" she turns away handing him the car keys, "We can draw up our contract too,"

"Should I sign here?" Yeonjun points at the bottom of the document. The pen lingers over the page. "What are your reasons for a fake engagement? I believe it should be clear so we..."
Hyemi sighs and drops her pen too. She crosses her arms and lays back on the chair. Her gaze fixed on him. "First, to of course see your mom happy,"
"Please give a more believable reasoning," he adds, "Or I might think I am too hot that you have fallen for me and don't want to admit it,"
She sighs quite embarrassed to own up to her reasons, "I want to show my mom I am capable enough to establish personal relationships without her help,"
Yeonjun nods, visibly trying to hold in his laugh. She rolls her eyes and pulls up an article on her phone, "Lastly, your major client who wishes the event organizers to be in a relationship so we can understand what they want,"
This piques his interest, the picture of one of the known names in the corporate world, standing beside his daughter and her fiance. "You think we can bag them!?"
She shrugs smiling, a little happy jump inside to have fully gotten his interest. The two proceed to sign and exchange the papers, one for each of them to keep. Yeonjun neatly folds it and gracefully keeps it inside his wallet while Hyemi walks to her bedroom keeping it safely in a file and shoving it in her securely locked vault. She walks back into the living room to see him examining the photo frames stuck on the wall.
