TAEYEON POV
"Omo, my daughter looks so beautiful!" She says, cupping my cheeks softly. Her eyes are full of tears. I smile at my mom's compliment and hold her hand."Thanks mom. I'm beautiful because you are." She smiles even more after my reply and giving me a tight hug. I'm hugging her back and we pull apart after seconds. We just look into each other eyes and the tears that was brimming in her eyes starts to fall one by one. I wipe it away with both of my thumb.
"I'm sorry. I just can't believe my daughter is finally married. Even though it's not in the way you and I wanted, but I'm just so happy." She hugs me again before pulling apart. "Alright, I'll leave you now. I don't want to ruin your dress by hugging you anymore. I'm happy for you dear." She kiss my forehead and leave the room.
I sigh, sitting back on the make-up chair and let the make-up artist and hairstylist continue their jobs. Not long after, someone knocks on the door and it slowly open, revealing my father stepping in. I look at him through the mirror and smiles as he walk towards me. He's standing beside the make-up table and smiling at me. An apologetic smile.
"Thank you, for doing this," He starts, looking down on the floor. "And I'm sorry for forcing you to do this." He stares right into my eyes. I motions the make-up artist and hairstylist to stop. They get the message and leaving us alone for a while.
I take his hand and holding it tight in mine. "Dad, it's okay. I'm doing this because I love you. And I don't want the company that you built from nothing falling down just like that. Besides, I'm at the age of marriage so maybe it is a good thing."
"Still, this is not right. Merging our company is the only way to keep us living. I don't want my family to live in a very 'different' way than we are now." He says, standing up and moves behind me, looking at me through the mirror with his eyes full of sorry. "I'm not going to let that happen while I'm alive. Not even after my death."
"I know. And in my opinion, your business partner is desperate to have you because he proposed this idea. He doesn't want to lose you because he knows, and I know, that you are very very very precious and important person in his business. So it's mutual. Really dad, it's okay."
He smile and kiss me on the top of my head, something I really love. It makes me feel the affection and the love from him.
"Okay, I'll leave you. See you after this, sweetheart." He pats my shoulders gently.
"Dad?" I call him when he's about to close the door.
"Yes?"
"Even if we are broke, I don't mind living in a 'different' way as long as I'm with you, mom and oppa. It's more than enough for me." I said. "My family is all I need to be happy."
He breaks a small close-mouthed smile, but I can see the tears he is holding so hard so it won't fall. At least in front of me. By the time he turn his head around and clos the door, both the make-up artist and hairstylist coming back in and finishing their jobs before someone can interrupt it anymore.
After 10 minutes of waiting in my waiting room, talking with my bridesmaids whom I just met today, my brother, Heenim, suddenly swings the door open after knocking twice. "Be ready in ten sis, you're flying." He said, smiling to me. I nodded. My bridesmaids then getting up and hugs me before walking out of the room to get prepare.
I stand up and checking myself in the mirror. I can't believe that now I'm wearing a crimson red wedding dress with a clean bun on my hair and make up that makes me look surprisingly stunning. And at the end of the day, I'm legally belong to someone else and holds the title as a wife.
Life is full of surprise, isn't it?
I inhale as much oxygen as I can, and exhales hardly. I'm nervous, even though this marriage is partly forced- because there's no objection from me.
