"Billie," Kai whispered softly, her voice close to Billie's ear as she gently rubbed her arms, standing over her as she slept.

"Billie," Kai repeated, a little louder this time, her hand giving Billie's shoulder a slight shake.

Billie's eyelids fluttered, her face scrunching against the brightness of the sunlight filtering into the tour bus. The light was too much, and she instinctively turned her head, trying to block it out with her arm.

"Come on, Billie, we're almost there," Kai said, leaning down to press a soft kiss to Billie's forehead, her fingers brushing lightly against Billie's cheek.

A small smile tugged at Billie's lips, though her eyes remained stubbornly closed. "Why can't you just rest with me a little longer?" she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep as she nestled deeper into the blanket.

Kai chuckled, her fingers tracing delicate circles on Billie's skin. "Because I've got a job to do, and you have a big show tonight," she reminded her, though her voice was filled with affection. Her thumb grazed Billie's cheek, coaxing her awake as gently as possible.

Billie let out a dramatic groan, rubbing her eyes with both hands, though the groan quickly turned into a quieter hum of excitement as reality settled in. Today was the day—the one Billie had been counting down to all year. Today was festival day.

Kai noticed the shift in Billie's expression almost instantly. She smirked, leaning back just a little to watch her. "You're excited, huh?" she teased, raising an eyebrow.

Billie stretched her arms above her head, her smile breaking through the last remnants of sleep. She nodded, her whole face lighting up in anticipation.

Kai left the room briefly, the sound of her footsteps barely registering in Billie's haze. When she returned, she was holding a soft, white two-piece set: a hoodie and matching sweatpants. "Here, why don't you change into this?" she said, handing the clothes over. "That way, when we get off the bus, you won't be seen too much."

Billie took the clothes, still groggy but thankful for the comfort. "Okay," she said, her voice a little hoarse as she started to wake up, though her energy wasn't fully back yet.

Kai leaned down to give her another quick kiss on the lips, soft but lingering just long enough to make Billie's heart flutter. "I'll be up front waiting with Greg." she said with a smile, straightening up and adjusting the security cap she still wasn't quite used to.

Billie watched her leave, a quiet warmth settling over her as she pulled the hoodie over her head. The room felt colder without Kai's presence, and Billie's mind was already drifting to the stage later, to the roar of the crowd she would soon face.

Kai made her way to the front of the bus, sliding into the seat across from Greg, who was, as always, focused on his laptop. "So, what's the plan for today?" she asked, pulling her cap lower over her head, trying to shake off the lingering nerves that always came before these big events.

Greg didn't look up at first, his fingers still flying over the keyboard. "Billie goes on at 8:30. I'd like her dressed and ready by 7, so we have plenty of time to avoid any last-minute complications. So as of right now that gives us six hours." He paused for a moment, his eyes finally lifting to meet Kai's. "You two figured out her outfit, right?"

Kai blinked, feeling a flush of embarrassment creep up her neck. "Uh, no... not yet," she admitted, fidgeting slightly in her seat, the weight of not having everything sorted gnawing at her.

Greg stopped typing, his head snapping up fully now. He gave her a hard, incredulous look. "Seriously? You guys have had weeks to get this done," he said, his voice sharp with disbelief as he rubbed his temple, clearly frustrated. "We don't have time for this, Kai."
