Malikai
It's just mi and Michael seated in my living room.
The atmosphere was tense. He scrolled through his phone and all mi coulda do a look pon the disrespect. Mi a try keep mi cool...Him know betta dan fi deh pon him phone right now. But Michael always wanted to test my limits. Been a work wid him fi months fi get some information pon some people that I could use in sticky situations.
Michael's expertise made him a valuable asset and him always come through, but right now, mi a wonder why mi see him wid my wife a hospital today. The thought alone, made my head heat up
Cause although him efficient, and I tend to like people who I can trust to get the job done...him also know mi nuh fuck around when it comes to my woman, or anything fi that matter.
"I know you understand why you are here, because mi know yuh si mi today," I'm trying my best to be calm, but everything inna mi wah tump him inna him face. "So, the first thing mi wah hear is why you wah mi and you have tings—and mi nuh need the excuses."
He smirked at me, and put this phone down on the table, finally looking over at me.
"I ran into her—she recognised me from our previous encounters—it was a simple gesture of manners and kindness, nuh look too deep," he smirked.
Manners and kindness?
Why alla dem man yah tek mi fi idiot? It just takes one look fi mi realize say dem wah fuck mi ooman. Mi nuh born slow, and mi deeven know how fi lock off my brain how dem seem fi know.
From Jaxn, to Juba, to now Michael...mi know when people wah fuck mi wife.
I honestly don't even know when it stop miss me, but I figured this ability of mine came about when mi find out Mario and Lee-Ann were in them likkle entanglement fi years right under mi nose. That shit can never reach mi again, suh mi nuh know who Michael a try pill and tek fi idiot right now, but it can't be me.
"Mhm, suh when you sent her that video of me and Zasha, was the endgame to break up my marriage? Or you were just doing the job she paid you fi do—being mannerable and kind as yuh put it?" I asked the question, not breaking eye contact with him. Mi watch as he gets flustered, but he regains his composure immediately. I would have missed it if I didn't have a trained eye.
"How'd you come to the conclusion?" he smirked. "That mind of yours must be entertaining as fuck to be inside."
"Mi know fi a fact say a nuh play you a try play wid mi intelligence?" Mi look pon him good, trying my hardest to manage my emotions.
"No, but you seem to be doing that all by yourself," he gestured to the bottle of Hennessy on the table.
I smirked at him, exerting even more energy to not fuck him up right yasso, right rass now. On the surface, I looked calm and composed, but I am hoping he isn't looking at me and assuming that I won't kill him and call who mi need fi call fi guh dump him body a Riverton Dump.
Whichever God him serve need fi guide him or mek sure him ready up fi greet him .
I sat up in my seat, folding my arms across my chest.
"There is not a lot that I am not good at, Mista Winters, and you know fi a fact that as good as you are with getting information, mi nah fi do nuh digging fi find out what I need to know," I was looking him dead inna him eye dem and nuttn nuh name laugh or joke pone mi face either. "Suh mi nah guh ask again...matta of fact, mi a guh just tek yuh fucking lies as insults, and send man fi kill yuh bloodclaat inna yuh sleep."
I sat back in my seat, throwing my hands up relighting my spliff.
"Evans, a style ting?" he scoffed, sitting up. "If yuh know all weh you say you know, then yuh fi know say mi a nuh smaddy fi threaten either. So, if you feel like say mi cross you, den come wid yuh evidence or lock chat."
