The Ball

Marie's POV

Tonight there's going to be a ball, so Charles is my date to the ball. I'm assuming Shadow and Amy are going too. I wonder if Knuckles will ask Rouge to be his date for the ball. Will Knuxouge happen tonight? Keep reading to find out. Charles and I train with Shadow and Amy. Amy wins the fight this time. Charles beats Shadow just barely. Charles and I go to the park. We have a picnic together. We talk about our future. We discuss college(s) we want to do online. We're both thinking about doing Community College for the first two years since it's cheaper. We have to be careful not to fall for the indoctrination typical colleges have in their classes, especially about politics. I want to start majors in Creative Writing, Spanish and Music. I'll major in Theology at a Catholic college that I'll take online. He wants to start majors in Orchestra, German, and P.E. We finished our picnic and he walks me home. I prepare myself for the ball tonight. He told me that he'll pick me up at 7:00. I put my dark green silk dress. he rings my doorbell. He drives me to the ball. It's at our school. I see Shadow and Amy walk into the building. 

Amy's POV

  I walk into the school building with my boyfriend, Shadokkun. He pulls a chair out for me. I sit down at the table. He sits across from me. We start talking about life as a teacher at this school and what we want to do in the future. Charles and Marie join us at the table. Marie sits next to me while Charles sits by Shadow. The rest of our group joins us at the table. Knuckles and Tails seem nervous around their dates for the ball. Shadow gets up and walks over to me. He asks. "Rose, will you dance with me?" I reply. "Yes, I would love to dance with you, Shadokkun." I take his hand and he leads me to the dance floor. The song is a slow dance. He asks me. "Would you rather be dancing with your Sonikku, right now?" I shout. "No! I most certainly would not! He can do whatever he wants. I don't care for his presence at all." He says to me. "I hope you have come to care for my presence, princess Rose." I start blushing. I reply. "I do care about your presence, Shadow. You're the best boyfriend I could ever ask for." I smile. He's so handsome. 
What did I do to deserve such a fine gentleman as my boyfriend? We talk throughout the dance.  

Knuckles and Tails ask Rouge and Cream to dance with them. I think they have a nice time together because they are laughing together. Both dates are blushing madly about something they're talking about. Afterward, I notice that Knuckles and Rouge have disappeared. I wonder where they went. I bet Knuckles is going to ask Rouge to be his girlfriend. I chuckle. Shadow and I go back to our table along with Charles and Marie. Tail's and Cream sit down as well. We talk for a while. 

Knuckles' POV

I'm going to confess to Rouge tonight. I'll do it after the first dance. Perfect it's a slow dance. This will set the mood to romance. After the dance, I say. "Hey, Rouge I want to talk to you in private. Can we go into the hallway?" She replies. "Sure, Knuckie anything for you." We walk into the hallway. This is it. I'm going to ask her. I say. "Rouge. There's something I've been wanting to tell you for a very long time." She asks. "What is it, Knuckie?"

Rouge's POV

He says. "Rouge, I have loved you since the first day I met you. Will you be my girlfriend?" I look at him in shock. I answer. "Yes!!! Of course I'll be your girlfriend!!! I thought it was obvious I liked you since I flirted with you and gave you the nickname, Knuckie."  We both say. "I love you!" He pulls me close to him and kisses me passionately. I kiss him back. We break apart for air. We smile at each other. He takes my hand and leads me back to the ball. We wait for the next dance at the table with the others. 

The next song starts. Knuckie asks me to dance with him. As were dancing we look at each other lovingly. We get closer and closer to each other. We close the distance between ourselves. We start to kiss passionately. I hear Amy shout. "My ship!!! It's finally sailing!!!"  We break apart for air. We smile. We hear the song come to an end. We grab some food from the buffet table. We sit down at our table. We say grace and eat together.

Tails' POV

While this is happening, Tail's and Cream are talking with the others. The next song comes on. I noticed Knuckles and Rouge walk onto the dance floor. They're both blushing. They start dancing together. I hold my hand out to Cream. I ask. "Do you want to dance with me?" She replies. "Sure, Tail's." I take her to the dance floor. We start dancing to the music. We start to enjoy the dong. I tell Cream how much she helped me after Cosmos death. I thank her for consoling me during that rough time for me. We look at each other lovingly. We close the gap between us and we kiss passionately. The song ends and we grab some food. We go to our table. We say grace and eat our food. 

Marie's POV

Charles asks me to dance with him once the next song starts. I tell him yes I would love to dance with him. He takes me to the dance floor. We start dancing to the best. We talk to each other about our families and school life. We close the distance between us and kiss each other passionately. We look ateach other lovingly. The song ends and we grab some food. We go to our table. We say grace and eat together. After the ball ends, the boys drive th ir girlfriends home. Charles dropps me off at home. My siblings ask me. "Marie. Give us all of the deta from the ball. Did Charles kiss you tonight?" I blush madly. "Ooh he did kiss you. Yes our ship is sailing guys!" We say goodnight. We go to bed and fall asleep. I dream about Charles and I getting married.
