The Turtles Meet Marie's Friends

Karai's POV 

I wake up from a nightmare about Leo being injured by Shredder because of me. I pant heavily. I try to calm down, but it doesn't work. I slowly take the covers off of me. I stand up and go over to the cot Leo is sleeping in. He looks so cute when he's sleeping. My eyes shift from snake to human and back again in the darkness. My body starts glowing green. I sit down by his cot. He's smiling in his sleep. I shake him gently. I don't want to wake him from a good dream, but I need reassurance that my nightmare won't happen in real life. He wakes up groggily. He says. "Karai? What's wrong?" I reply. "I had a terrible nightmare about you becoming injured from the Shredder." He hugs me tightly. I start silently crying from the emotion I felt from the nightmare. He whispers sweet nothings in my ear. I slowly calmed down. 

I ask him. "Leo. What is today?" He replies. "Today is Sunday. Why?" I say. "I wanted to know if the party was happening today?" He says. "Do you mean the party to meet Marie's friends?" I reply. "Yes. I was wondering what I should wear." "Karai. You would look beautiful in anything you wear. Also, we just came back to our senses. You don't need to worry about a party. It might be too stressful for us." I become angry because I want to show everyone that I'm at my best rather than my worst. "Leo. I am going to that party and that's my final answer. You should understand because you went through the same thing that I went through. I'm sure you would want to look like you're fine and not physically and mentally injured from what happened because of our mutation." He thinks about what I said. He shakes his head. He tells me that he agrees with me. 

I walk over to my closet and take out different dresses. I put them up to me, so he can choose which one he likes best. I show him silk red dresses, lace white dresses, and sleeveless yellow dresses. He says. "They don't fit you as a person to me anyway. Let's keep looking." I show him an elegant blue dress with white details. His jaw drops to the floor. He says. "This dress is the one for you. Karai the guys in the room will drop dead on the floor when they see you in this dress. It fits you so well. Please wear it." He gives me the puppy eyes. I blush because he looks adorable when he does that. 

I say. "I'll wear it, okay? Also, it would help me if the guys die as I walk into the room if they're enemies of mine." Leo's eye starts twitching. He says. "Karai. Please tell me that you're joking." I reply. "Of course, I'm joking, Leo." He starts laughing nervously.  I ask him if he's going to wear a suit. He tells me no. He says. "It's because I would have to wear a very large suit to wear over my shell. I don't think it would be a good idea, Karai." I say. "Okay. Will you wear shoes at least?" He replies. "Sure. I don't have any shoes though, so I probably won't be able to. I'm used to feeling the ground beneath my feet, so I won't be comfortable in shoes. Maybe if we go to another party, but not this time." We go about our day until it's time to go to the party.
