It started like every other day. I woke up, ate breakfast, and I went to school. But questions kept on going through my mind about last night. "Who was that turtle with the blue mask"? "Why was there such a thing"? "What would scientists do to the turtle if I told the scientists about him"? "Why would he save a girl like me"? When I went inside the school I kept looking around hoping he might live there. After school, I started walking toward my house from the bus stop. I ran inside my home and asked my mom if I could walk around the neighborhood. She replied with a yes and got home by 9:00 sharp. After I walked around the neighborhood I started walking home. I realized it was close to 9:00. Also, the sun was transforming into a sunset. I stopped in my tracks. Wait a second, there are sewers here and it would be a perfect hiding place for a turtle like him. I started looking in the sewers.
After a few minutes, I heard voices around the corner. I slowly sneak to the corner and peek around to see the turtle with a blue mask. There are three other turtles with him. They start to walk in my direction. Oh No! They are going to see me. I quickly look around to find a hiding place and I look up. Perfect, I whisper and reach up to hold onto the pipe to hide. A second later, they walk under me and walk by without noticing me. "How am I supposed to thank him for saving me, if I can't even get close to him"?
Ugh, this is so frustrating. I realized way too late that I said it out loud. I hear footsteps splashing through the sewer water towards me. The turtle with the blue mask looks up to see me. At first, he looks confused, which turns into recognition. He asks me. "What are you doing up there"? I reply. "I was looking for you, so I could thank you for saving me". Before he can reply the other three come up to him and see me. The turtle with the red mask asks the other turtle. "Leo, who is she and what is she doing down here?!" He seems mad at Leo for some reason, I wonder why. Leo replies. "Calm down Raph. She's the girl I saved last night from Tiger Claw, remember".
"Oh, yeah!" I'm still mad at you because you always follow Master Splinter's rules to the letter, except for last night. But Splinter doesn't scold or punish you instead, he praises you for saving her. When I disobey, I always get scolded or punished!" Leo replies. "Raph it's not her fault you're mad."
