Maximum Chaos Mode

The next morning starts peacefully enough. Too peacefully. Which, in hindsight, should've been my first warning.

I'm halfway through breakfast when my phone buzzes with a message from Kaminari.

Kaminari: Yo, are you okay? Or like... more okay than usual?

Me: What are you talking about?

Kaminari: Uh... so you're not at school right now?

My stomach drops.

I bolt upright, Dark Shadow whispering ominously from my side, "He's done something, hasn't he?"

"He's done everything," I mutter grimly, already grabbing my bag and heading for the door.

By the time I get to UA, I know things have gone catastrophically wrong. There's a massive crowd gathered in front of the main building. I push my way through, bracing for impact, and... there he is.

Standing on top of a makeshift stage constructed out of school desks, Tsuki beams down at the crowd like a rock star.

"I AM THE NEW SYMBOL OF CHAOS!" he announces proudly, throwing his tiny wings into the air.

The crowd cheers. They're cheering for him. Kaminari is laughing so hard he's practically wheezing, and Mina is recording everything on her phone—again.

"Oh. My. God." I whisper, horrified beyond belief.

Tsuki spots me instantly. "BEHOLD!" he shouts, pointing directly at me. "MY BROTHER, THE FALLEN NIGHT!"

Oh, this is going to be bad.

"Tsuki," I hiss, storming toward the makeshift stage. "Get down from there before I—"

"I DECLARE TODAY AS 'TOKOYAMI APPRECIATION DAY!'" Tsuki interrupts, basking in the crowd's cheers. "Everyone, say something nice about my brother, or else... uh, you'll owe me money!"

Mina giggles. "Tokoyami, you have nice feathers!"

"You're super mysterious and kind of scary!" Kaminari adds cheerfully.

"Your brooding really brings the mood down," Sero chimes in with a grin. "But in, like, a good way."

"Thanks," I mutter, glaring up at Tsuki. "Your work here is done. Now get down."

"But wait! There's more!" Tsuki hops down from the stage and produces... A FREAKING AIRHORN.

Where did he even get that?!

"Ready?" he says, winking mischievously. "Three, two, one—"

"Don't you dare—"

BWAAAAAAAAAARRRP.

The blast echoes across the entire campus, leaving my ears ringing. Students laugh hysterically. Even Bakugo—who, to his credit, looks like he's trying very hard not to blow something up—grins in spite of himself.

Aizawa materializes out of nowhere, his hair wild, his eyes bloodshot. "No one better explain what's happening, or I swear..."

Tsuki grins up at him. "Hi, Mr. Sleepy Man! Want to join the chaos?"

I shoot Aizawa an apologetic look, but the man just sighs like he's long past caring. "I need coffee," he mutters, retreating to his sleeping bag like a defeated war general.

"See?" Tsuki says smugly. "Everyone loves me."

"Everyone is tolerating you," I correct, dragging him away from the stage before he can incite further rebellion.

Just when I think I have him under control, Tsuki pulls out a second airhorn.

"You have two airhorns?" I hiss, utterly horrified.

Tsuki winks. "I'm always prepared."

In the classroom, I try to keep Tsuki seated at my desk while the rest of the class prepares for homeroom. But no—Tsuki has other plans.

The moment I turn my back, he's scrambling onto Bakugo's desk again, looking the ticking time bomb right in the eye.

"Hey, Boom Man," Tsuki says with a mischievous grin. "Guess what?"

Bakugo's left eye twitches. "What?"

Tsuki leans in close. "You're my second favorite sibling now."

Kaminari nearly falls out of his seat laughing, and even Bakugo's explosive temper falters for a moment as confusion washes over him. "Second favorite?!"

"Yup," Tsuki nods sagely. "Right after Tokoyami."

Bakugo's hands spark dangerously. "GET OFF MY DESK, YOU LITTLE—"

Before Bakugo can explode—literally—Aizawa slinks into the room, exuding exhaustion and mild regret for choosing this career.

"Tokoyami," he says, deadpan. "Why is your brother still here?"

"I'm working on it," I reply helplessly.

"You're not working fast enough."

The rest of the day is an endless loop of chaos. Tsuki "accidentally" sets off Dark Shadow during lunch, steals Bakugo's chair ("You're not sitting in it, so it's fair game"), and challenges Iida to a race in the hallways—on foot. And wins.

When the final bell rings, I sag in my seat, utterly drained. Tsuki, of course, is as energetic as ever.

"See, brother? This was the best day ever!" he beams.

"You've aged me by ten years," I reply flatly.

Dark Shadow chuckles. "I kind of like him."

"Of course you do."

As we walk toward the school gates, Tsuki grins up at me with that same mischievous twinkle in his eye.

"So... what's the plan for tomorrow?"

I stop dead in my tracks. "Tomorrow? Oh no. You're not coming back. Ever."

"But the people love me!"

"The people are afraid of you."

Tsuki shrugs. "Same thing."

Just as we reach the gates, Nezu appears, smiling warmly. "Young Tsuki! Will you be visiting us again soon?"

Tsuki gives him a mock salute. "You bet!"

I groan. This is my life now.

And so it goes. My brother—the chaotic gremlin that he is—has officially decided that UA is his playground. No one is safe. Least of all, me.
