The Lives of the Doctor Part 2

A big flash appear at the end of the hall inside of an exotic building right near to some marble columns. Two figures flits between the columns, a short one with a long coat and a tall one with frilled shirt and a hulking amount of white hair. They keep flitting towards the next and the next pillars until they hide behind one of them and the 13th Doctor peek her head out, looking around with cautious, exhaustion, and worry.

13th Doctor:"Come on."

The 13th Doctor looks back to her third incarnation and they both run away from the pillar. They keep running, turning corners every time the hall bends, and right before they reach some staircase, the 3rd Doctor slows down and pants. He then lean against a stone railing.

3rd Doctor:"H... Hold it... my dear..."

The 13th Doctor stop running and turn around. She approach him.

13th Doctor:"No, no. Can't stop now."

The 3rd Doctor try to catch his breath.

3rd Doctor:"I don't know... what's happening... I feel... Oof."

The 3rd Doctor put his hand on his collar as he tries to loosen it. The 13th Doctor widen her eyes as she stare at his hand.

13th Doctor:"Look. Your hand!"

The 3rd Doctor look at his hand and widen his eyes at how young it is.

3rd Doctor:"Oh, dear me... It's... starting to take its effect."

13th Doctor:"Keep fighting. You can't change right now."

3rd Doctor:"Do you think I'm not trying?!"The 3rd Doctor closes his eyes and concentrate, then his hand turns back to being wrinkling. The 3rd Doctor open his eyes."See? Back to... normal... Just give me a sec. I... haven't felt this tire for a long time."

13th Doctor:"Yeah. That's what happened when you hold it back for so long. I should know."The 13th Doctor lean against the railing next to her younger self."It's like eating a big lunch."

The 3rd Doctor chuckle.

3rd Doctor:"Yes..."

13th Doctor:"You know, this may not be the perfect time. But it seems like Clementine is doing her job well. They're not even here yet."

3rd Doctor:"Yes. Clever girl you got."

13th Doctor:"Yeah. So, since we got some time left, I got to say, you should really consider yourself lucky that the change is literally immediate. No regeneration are similar. Well, during the early days. But at least you can just close your eyes and let the change happen. While nowadays, we have to deal with this..."

The 13th Doctor raise up her hand and it start glowing in a golden energy.

3rd Doctor:"Wait... That looks familiar."

13th Doctor:"Yeah."The 13th Doctor's hand stop glowing and she lower it."You done it before. Don't you remember?"

3rd Doctor:"I... I remember this... This sudden glow in my hand. It looked... But not exactly as yours. Must forgive me, my dear. During that life, my eyes haven't been working well during the last months... years... of that life. Things just suddenly become black and white for me, well, him."

13th Doctor:"Huh. I don't remember that. I'm really must be getting old if I don't remember that. Or the result of the paradox."

3rd Doctor:"Quite."

13th Doctor:"But yeah, we can no longer can just lay back and fall asleep. No. We have to awake as we burst into flames and feel every single cell change, burn, during the process. And just when it's all over, the cells will still be changing after the flames die down. You lot have it easy back in the day. Basically ready to pop out of the oven and dash straight into fire than just... just... stumbling around with the body reorganizing."
