Reunion Part 1

The next day arrives, and underneath the heated sun, a woman walks down the street as she hold her bag close to her body. She looks up to her destination, still in disbelief of where she is going. She make her way around the fence and continue walking down the street until she found the main entrance. She approach the west gate of the Tower of London and stop at the sight of guards. She pulls out her wallet and open to reveal her ID card that says 'Sarah Jane Smith'.

Sarah:"I'm expected by your top scientific advisor."

The guards salute. Sarah nods as she put her wallet away, and then she walk past them and start making her way to the castle.

Later

Sarah enter the office and sees a short haired blonde woman staring out the window.

Sarah:"Excuse me. Sorry to bother, but is this Kate Stewart's office?"

The woman turns around and widen her eyes.

Kate:"Yes... It is."Kate approach Sarah."You're... Sarah Jane Smith. I've read your file."

Kate extend her hand and Sarah shake it.

Sarah:"It's good to meet you."They both stop shaking and let go of each other hands."So, the Tower of London..."

Kate:"Yes. A big change from just a lab in the field."

Sarah chuckle as she looks around.

Sarah:"You have no..."Sarah then stops as she spots a painting behind Kate's desk."Oh."

Sarah walks towards it and stare at the painting of Brigadier Allistor Lethbridge-Stewart. She reminisce all the time she had with the Brigadier. Kate walks towards Sarah.

Kate:"Right. Sorry about that. When I was told I was going to have visitors, I didn't imagine..."

Sarah:"No, no. It's... alright. This is nice."

Kate:"I thought... placing the picture here will... I don't know... still feel like he was here."

Sarah:"Watching over your shoulder."Sarah laughs."He always was like that. Watching over every single soldier, every single thing that happens, secretly judging every move we made back in the time. Especially when it came to the Doctor. He never did fully trust his gizmos or gadgets. Including the TARDIS."

Kate chuckle.

Kate:"Yes. He was always... overprotective, even the little things."

Sarah:"Yes. I'm sure he's proud of what you're doing here."

Kate:"You think?"

Sarah:"Of course. It's every parent's duty to be proud how much their child have grown."Kate widen her eyes and Sarah notice her reaction."What?"

Kate:"H-How do you know?"

Sarah:"What? Oh, come on. Kate Stewart, the one in charge of U.N.I.T. How could you not be?"

Kate smile. All of a sudden, a flash appear behind them and they turn around and see the back side of Captain Jack Harkness

Jack:"Whoa. I really hope I'm in the right place, otherwise... I got a lot of explaining to do."

Sarah:"That would not be necessary..."Jack turns around."Captain."

Jack then smile and Sarah smiles back.

Jack:"Sarah!"

Jack spread his arms and Sarah walks towards him and hugs him.

Sarah:"Oh. It's been too long."
